Indow Windows

My husband and I purchased Indowwindows two years ago and purchased additional windows this year. We live in Massachusetts and own an old 1700's house. From the beginning Reed and the staff assisted us with advice on measuring the windows to assure the fit properly. They all fit perfectly! The windows have helped so much in the cold winters and look beautiful, they're perfectly clear and very easy to insert and take out if needed. Saved our house!!! We just bought a historically significant home in Indianapolis that is unfortunately located on a very busy street, Meridian St. The front rooms of the house were uninhabitable because of the traffic noise so I took a gamble and ordered Indow windows for the front master bedroom鈥?Indow windows have saved our home!!! We are able to sleep without any disturbance of traffic noise. My daughter says her ears ring from silence.

This company is very unlike most any other company you will deal with in today's world. From the very first contact right down to the installation and preservation instructions they are friendly, competent and follow through on what they say they will do. The measuring kit and instructions are exact and very clear. The product is high quality and comes package better than most anything I have had delivered. I was the Purchasing Manager for the City of Bellingham a city of approximately 100,000 and dealt with hundreds of companies over my carrier and this type of performance happens once in a thousand.

With the indow windows, we now have a better sleep. And they do blend in the existing windows. Love them.

These inserts might work well as single panels but I do not recommend them with the use of mullions. Mine were exceptionally hard to get in due to having to place the panel over the lip of the mullion. Apparently, this condition was not factored into the construction of my inserts Also, if you want to have fresh air in your home on a regular basis do not use these inserts. Taking them in and out on a daily basis is a hassle. Unless you are willing to do your work twice to convince them that panels do not fit you will not receive a refund. Apparently they don鈥檛 have confidence in their laser measuring device or your ability To use such.

We put 13 of these inserts in our 100 year old farm house last spring and after almost a year, we can say we are extremely pleased with the results. They were a great alternative to new windows which would have been cost prohibited. The drafts normally felt on cold windy days are gone. Our home is more comfortable and the amount of LP gas used for heating has been greatly reduced. Visitors don't even notice the inserts unless we point them out. For us, the inserts were worth the investment.

The inserts have worked as indented. I know this because I have had problems with condensation at the point where the two sashes meet which equates to cold infiltration and heat loss. Upon installation the condensation stopped so I need no more proof than that. Thank You, Mark Odell.

For a person with age related decrease eyesight the measuring process was a challenged even with the laser tool. But, I'm actually quite surprise on how well the indow inserts fit and decreased the sound transmission. High frequency is markedly decreased and low rumble of trucks is attenuated as well.

I love these window inserts, they work very well. I bought 2 for one room to try them out first. I parked my car outside those windows before I put the inserts in and set off the alarm for 20 seconds and recorded it with my cell phone, then I repeated the process after installing the inserts and there was at least a 50% reduction in noise. I then bought more to cover all my windows. I am very pleased with the results.

The inserts do reduce some noise but ear plugs have still been necessary for sleeping through the train noise that we hear at our house.

Worth every penny! Best thing I ever did! I live on a very busy street. I couldn't stand the noise any more. I bought new windows twice which did nothing. I contacted indow and bought their acoustic windows. I can finally sleep again, 90% better. If this didn't work, I would have to move. Thanks indow!

I bought these to help with the road and air traffic. I thought I would get a better result on the car traffic, but I can still hear the cars (this is a 2 lane street with no speed bumps and cars tend to speed). I knew I would hear the airplanes still so I am okay as it has helped a little bit. I think your prices were way too high for the product received and would not recommend your services to my neighbors. You are in between the Poor and acceptable rating. Thank you Terri

Great customer service!

A 43" by 43" standard insert was quoted for $330.64. And even said it included installation?? I'm like, installation fee?? Aren't these inserts we install ourselves? The product does not cost much in material and workman ship! I'm not even going to ask about their next step up from the standard version. This is just greedy corporate America at its finest! Not worth it. Better off installing new windows. And by the sound of it, it will most likely not eliminate outside noise.

Inserts worked better than expected. Two are being replaced due to shipping damage

They work, this is noticed when we smoke up the kitchen cooking and it takes a long time to clear the place out from lack of airflow. I think the price is still a barrier as the electric have not fallen very drastically. It is a good product and would work for certain people not all.

Hello Sam, Thank you for your genius (and persistence) in inventing and perfecting the Indow window inserts. We had one made for a small but very troublesome window. The difference is magical (I know it is a lot of math, science and design on your part)!!! We are so thrilled with the difference it has made in blocking cold air and frost forming on the inside of the window! Bonus: The window is right where I pass by it several times a day. The Indow is so unobtrusive that I don't notice it. It was measured and installed by Darrin at Big Red Builders. He was careful in measuring, installing and explaining step by step how to take care of the Indow. I would highly recommend him and your company. My only suggestion (not a complaint) is that you coordinate your records so that you know when a prospective client has actually ordered Indows. Weeks after I had ordered I received a follow up email from Indow asking if I was still interested in ordering. ?? I would think your records would have reflected that, and it would have been known by your marketing staff. Awesome invention for window owners and our environment!! I bought the acoustic grade inserts and they are a waste of money.

First window was about a quarter inch off. Sound proofing was affected as a result. Customer service reached out to me and is replacing the window. Couldn鈥檛 be happier with their proactive service and dedication to getting things right.

We are extremely disappointed there is no difference in the noise level!!! I definitely think there's an issue here. There appears to be no acoustic in these windows. I need to resolve this complaint.Charlie Belinski.

Easy enough to install. I felt the difference in both noise and temperature as soon as I installed the first Indow. The street noise was reduced, and the cool temp that I felt through the window was gone. I am now able to add 2 hours to my night's sleep by using the acoustic grade Indow for noise reduction of the busy boulevard behind my house.

The windows did exactly as advertised and also look great.
