Guaranteedtelecom

These guys are fraudsters. They "slam" unsuspecting and vulnerable people. They ring up TalkTalk customers (using the hacked database) and use strong arm sales techniques to force the people to switch from TalkTalk broadband tariff – incurring 拢100 penalty charge. My father was scammed – luckily I was able to see it happen and stop it.

TalkTalk will automatically terminate your contract and charge an early leaving penalty without your consent IF fraudsters like Guaranteed Telecom initiate a switch. This is following "OFCOM rules". That is madness and contrary to contract law.

Guaranteed Telecom tried it three times – each time after I tried to stop the switch.

An elderly friend of mine was "conned" into giving his bank details, over the phone, to pay a monthly direct debit for, what seems to be, a non-existent service. I've got him to cancel it and have emailed the "company" asking for him to be reimbursed. It will be interesting to find out if they do so. I intend to contact Trading Standards, or the police, if necessary.

This outfit cold-called my elderly mother-in-law (despite TPS) and conned her into giving her debit card details for a DD for 拢21.99 a month to 'stop nuisance calls'. There is no paperwork other than confirmation of the DD. When you ring them, their patter makes it clear to me that this is a scam.
