Don't purchase tickets from GuruFare! I had purchased two plane tickets to Spain back in March. Spain went into lockdown a few days before my flight was set to leave. It took numerous calls and emails before I could get a hold of someone to cancel my flight. It's been 8 months and I'm still waiting for them to refund me the full cost of my tickets. There was one point where I was able to get a hold of a GuruFare representative but they eventually changed their system to hang up on the caller after 10 minutes. This lasted several months. They supposedly give you a call back based on when your flight is set to depart, but I haven't heard back since. I've been consistently emailing and calling GuruFare since March with the same result. Fortunately I had some luck last month. I got a hold of an actual person they said that my refund was already processed. How can that be when I'm still waiting on $557.95. They said that they'd send an email to the investigation team and that I'd hear back within 24 hours but here I am again one month later with no follow up or refund. I called them again today and I hear the same response…they'll send it to the investigation team and I'll hear back from someone within 24 hours. I guess we'll just have to continue playing the waiting game. What's worse about my call this time around is that the GuruFare representative hung up on me. Unfortunately this isn't the first time that's happened. The staff is extremely unprofessional and they don't seem to care about their jobs. No one calls back and they tend to hang up on you or choose to not even pick up.
Update 11/25/20: Two days later and I have yet to receive a follow call from a GuruFare representative. Sent an email to their investigation team. Let's see if this method of contacting GuruFare will help me gain traction. Calling their exchanges team through 877-969-3069 and their support team through 888-625-7418 doesn't really get me anywhere. Emailing their exchange and customer care team doesn't seem to help either.

Don't use this website! They are scam artists. It's okay if flights are not cancelled by airlines. My flights to Australia was cancelled by Qantas, my fare is $1850 , Gurufare told me to wait till a week before departure date to call them. I called Qantas, my flights were cancelled 6 weeks ago. Qantas told me to contact Gurufare for refund. Gurufare wants me to pay $550 fees in advance before processing my refund which could take 6 months! It's a scam. I checked with other legitimate websites, there is no such thing as paying the fee before getting the refund. I don't know how to get money back from them.

Diana was extremely helpful for me. I had booked my reservation, and she was able to make some modifications to my flight by adding in my Global Traveler number. However, something occurred beyond anyone's control, and my girlfriend was no longer able to travel with me.
I again reached out to Diana, who was very kind and helpful presenting me options on how to cancel or modify the reservation.
Diana was extremely professional and considerate throughout, and I am grateful for all the help she provided me.

Booked international airfare with gurufare. My initial booking was changed and I was given the reason that airlines have some challenges with one of the legs. But support team was on top of it. Customer support person worked with me and found alternative route, carefully listened to my needs and provided the option that worked for me, excellent service.

It was not so bad but not good.
I booked the initial one which I was totally fine but called me at 11 pm and said we have a better deal.
The operator said it is totally same flight but cheaper, so I said yes.
Next day, I realized airline is totally different.
So they canceled and refund and I can get another flight.
The operation guy was finally very helpful but took me 2 -3 additional hours.

I had a flight on May from NY to Istanbul and it is automatically cancelled by the airline because of the Covid-19. I called Gurufare nin. 10 times and each time they told that they request a refund and they are going to pay until August 10. Today is August 13th and when I talk with them today they told me that I cancelled my flight myself! and they cannot do refund! I called the airline company and they say gurufare never ask a refund request from them. I never ever seen an unreliable company like as Gurufare. I don鈥檛 think so they are going to pay my ticket back. I just file a complaint about Gurufare. Don鈥檛 trust this company.

This company, if legitimate, has been the worst customer service experience I've ever had. It can take days and multiple calls each day to even get someone to answer. If they answer, there is always an excuse why they have not returned a call or email. They have done very little to help customers who have spent thousands of dollars for travel and could not experience that travel due to Co-Vid 19. I'm happy for anyone that claims to have had a good experience with Gurufare, but any good reviews on this page are likely questionable. Stay away!

I booked a flight to Paris in April. Cancelled by the airline due to Covid. I have been trying to get a refund since then. No refund, but Guru Fare has continued to charge fees. They come up with excuse after excuse. I will be taking this to the FTC. Do not do business with Guru Fare, they are a scam.

Unethical business, worst experience ever.
I have tried to have my international ticket refunded since 03/14…..due to the pandemic and travel restrictions imposed due to covid19.
My departure date was 03/18, I tried to contact gurufare on 03/12 to cancel my bookings due to the travel restriction…of course couldn't talk to anyone, literally on hold for hours and days. I went on their website, filled the form multiple times. I sent them multiple emails as well, which I finally received a email from them telling me to go on their website to fill up the form to be reimbursed…which was done again.
I called united airlines who told me to go through gurufare due to having booked the ticket with gurufare. United did reimburse me within 24 hours the cost of my preferred seats. Finally, I have gone through my bank to dispute the charge….gurufare response is I was a no show!. I have proofs of emails of cancelling the booking days prior to departure. I called gurufare again today, they are still refusing to reimburse my ticket on the pretense I was a no show…I explained to them I emailed them and filled up the form on their website numerous times. The agent told me to email him all the emails that were sent to them…he gave me a bogus email! Tried to call him back to the phone number he gave me….doesn't work either. I'm about to file a complaint with the FTC, the attorney general office and the ARC. I do not understand who gurufare can stay in buisness.
