I have a very low opinion of this company because they charge their own members (patients) more for procedures than others in the area. I had my colonoscopy at age 50 and it was suppose to be paid for under preventive. Because somewhere in my dr notes it said I had a stomach ache they refused to pay for it. It cost me over 1,000. dollars. I saw a specialist to discuss a surgery and when I got the bill it said they did an outpatient procedure when I was in the office. This never happened. When I refused to pay this bogus charge they sent me to collections. I fought with them for 8 months and I had to pay this bogus charge or have it go on my permanent record. Since I have a credit score in the 800's and had never been sent to collections I did not want my credit ruined. Group Health is a very bad company that does not care about their members. I still can't believe they are getting away with this just because they are a big company. Do not walk, Run from Group Health.
