WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. They charge me because 鈥淭he upcoming customer said they didn鈥檛 find the car where it should be鈥?and it was in the correct place. With no prove they trusted the new customer instead of me. They just want your money

Don鈥檛 use greenwheels, I registered with them and had issues with every ride. please see the below mentioned reasons for my disapproval:
1.) Unreasonable auto debits from the account. After every ride, Greenwheels would debit some amount on the name of damage or some surcharge. Then i had to clarify with their customer care for long hours.
2.) The car would not open after booking, again i had to be in call with customer care to open the car
3.) The NS card will become inactive. Suddenly i would see in the app that there are no active cards. Again i had to be on call for hours
4.) Cars are never clean and in bad condition.

Overall the IT that greenwheels is working with is incapable and we will have to suffer a lot for that.
The local car hiring companies like Middelbeek are far better and you can get better cars in way cheaper prices.

Stay away from it. It have hidden cost!! If you rent a car and the price is 12鈧? expect 50鈧? if 150, expect 500鈧? Use anything else but not Greenwheels. This is simply cheating! For your own sanity, if you dont want stress, and money stolen. Aware your friends!

One star is a way too much for this service!!! Beside the fact that I got a car SUPER DIRTY and stincky is absolutely insane the price that they charged me. I agreed to book the car on the website for 6 days for 179 euros. I called them twice to confirm that this was the full tariff and they said yes. Now they withdraw 473 euro from my account. I called them and they said that they charged 0.39 euro extra per km driven. Absolutely insane and was not written ANYWHERE. What I expected was to be charged 179 euro plus 30 euro of gas that I did with the tankpass. They are thief.

'Ok-ish' impression after 3 years of very often using – mostly because there is not much options in Netherlands, competition is poor.

Advantages:
– Many cars available
– Cars selection is optimal (VW up is good for short rides, VW golf is good for shopping etc)
– Real customer service, you can call and have a conversation with humans, no bots.

Disadvantages:
– basically the service is not as developed as is many other countries
– no cars with automatic gearbox
– you have to return cars back, so no one way rides
– you have to give a deposit 200+ euro, and you have to wait 3 months (!) to get it back when you terminate the contract
– sometimes you book a car but it is not available on the spot
– sometimes you book a car with empty tank
– sometimes you book a car and can not open it
– to fill a tank you have to go through stress with this dedicated payment card, which doesn't work on some gas stations.

MONEY REFUND PROBLEM
I suscribed to their system on October 5th. But, l learned later that it is not possible to rent a car with Turkish driver's licence. So, I called they and you told me that they delete my account and refund the payment I made and I would receive the amount back latest on Tuesday Oct. 08th. I checked my bank today and learned that they haven't cancel the payment yet! I called them again and they told me that I would refund the money in 8 weeks, which is incredible! Why should I wait for a refund for 8 weeks? They should pay me my money + interest I lose. I want my money back as soon as possible!

Avoid them!
They overcharge you for no reasons and whitout being able to provide you answers. You can鈥檛 see how much paid, but you only receive an invoice some months after.. which is very vague. Customer Service is not helpful and I would not recommend this company. Stay away! There are much better alternatives on the market.

Deceiving the customer by not giving clear information about the rates. I rented a car for the weekend which was 59 Euros, then received an invoice of 190 Euros! When I checked the tariff again, I realized that there was a vague writing (excl. Km). I talked with the customer service and asked why they didn't make this clear, they said it is "marketing", what a shame!

Not recommended at all.

I have been trying to get someone to help me for a few weeks in this case of overcharging

When I booked the car for the use that afternoon there was nothing to say that there would be additional charges for KM driven

Subsequently I have tried to understand the choices via the app but even then the nature of the per KM charge is not transparent or obvious

As a consequence this high charge is very great surprise and much more (probably four times the charge) that I would face if I had a rented a car from Hertz or Avis

The App should say at the time of booking when providing the expected charge for a 7 hour reservation that under the program I have selected the additional KM charge would be XXX Euro鈥檚 to be fair

In this case I would be prepared to pay something more if you think that is fair but believe you really should reverse the charge all together.

I note that the next time I used you I tried to pick up the car and it wasnt in its place and as a consequence I was inconvenienced and had to Uber at greater expense to my appointments. I rang to advise of this and accepted that while unfortunate you couldnt do anything

In this case you can do something and I hope you will

but I have heard nothing

Signed up for Greenwheels as planned to use the service for a weekend away. Ended up not using the service and cancelled the membership within a week. Greenwheels has refused to reimburse the 255 Euro deposit until after 8 weeks! They claim this is to cover any costs, such as speeding fines, even though their records show I have never rented a car from them. Customer service has been incredibly unhelpful. Never again. Stay away.

As a former client of greenwheels i highly not recomend using greenwheels.
Costs:
Though it's a car sharing company, costs are higher than regular rental agencies. e.g. 4h rental (drive to ikea, shop, drive back) costs around 90eur; 3 day weekend break (800km drive) – ~600eur. at the end of the trip you cannot see the costs; you need to wait a couple of weeks (weeks, yes) for the invoice and usually that more than expected. on their website they advertise a lot the booking fees, while the price per km is not that visible — if you travel for

Client services:
Client services is probably the worst possible experience ever: i've asked to explain that 600eur costs and i've been admonished and scolded that i didn't read the t&c; also i had to remind them a couple of times (4 weeks) to send me back the deposit. I've asked them to tell me when should i expect the guarantee back and they refused to answer making just a referal to some notification they never send. proof they don;t care about client is that they never reply to bad reviews on play store.

Experience: cars are in bad condition. also, you cannot get a more naked car. For the price, rental companies give you upper or intermediate level of packages (highline for vw), but greenwheels gives you some sort of downgraded trendline. Cars are usually full of scratches, so before entering the vehicle you need to make a vigourous inspection and try to spot scratches that are not yet reported. otherwise you might be hold responsible. They seem to never fix the scratches. I wonder if they charge the clients for damages they never repair

Re-fueling: The booking fee includes gas (way to go greenwheels!), but you cannot refuel anywhere; only certain gas stations are eligible. too bad, in this case gas is on the client. also, after refueling you need to write with a pencil the no of km on a paper in the glovebox – stoneage stuff.

Pro: You can book a car in a couple of minutes. oh wait, add 20min to that because you need to make the scratch inspection first.

I have been using the service a few times now, and I can't express well enough my dissatisfaction with this company. The app is constantly crashing, you can't access easily any sort of information, the rental procedure is cumbersome and most importantly, there are LOTS OF HIDDEN COSTS. They lure you in with seemingly lower fees, but then the invoice comes, and it's always a bitter surprise. Moreover, parking anywhere in the city is ON YOU, you can only park for free in the car's pre-defined parking space and nowhere else. Customer service tries to be helpful, but I would never recommend this company.

Joined a few months ago as just relocated to Amsterdam and have not bought a car yet. Greenwheels Cars are often dirty, service lights on and 50% of the time previous user has left only a reserve level of fuel.

Today was the kicker, had an appointment in Amersfoort and had booked a car a few days before. Turn up to collect at 11am as reserved and there is no car. Call customer service, they tell me the car was returned to a different location almost a km away as the spot was blocked by a film crew. So they knew my car wasn't there and no one called me! All other cars in the neighbourhood are booked so the only choice I have is to go and pick this car up.

Was told to return the car to the original spot that was reserved which we did (not where we picked up). I was concerned about this instruction so emailed customer service to confirm (they sent me an email to give me the new location of the car) and had no response so did as instructed.

Fast forward to dinner time, I receive a phone call telling me I am going to be fined for returning the car to the wrong place and that I must now interrupt my evening to move a car to a location across town in pouring rain and that I am in the wrong. I ask to speak to a manager as I don't feel this is my responsibility but told no managers are present so I can only deal with this individual. I ask for the name of the first agent for the letter of complaint that I will write and am refused.

This is a shambolic level of customer service and because they have a 250 euro deposit and access to your bank account you are held hostage. Am cancelling my membership immediately and do not recommend this service.

Tried to become a member.
1. They don't accept AMEX
2. Entered details of MasterCard – site is saving them endless
3. Tried to login into mobile app – not possible, error: no valid user found for token
What is this???

= was a problem with IT part. resolved by operator completely wipes the account =

App doesn't reliably work. They don't tell you you need to return cars to same exact parking spot you took them from (and the app lets you finish the ride elsewhere). Then they charge you 25 euro. SCAM
