Greeneking Pubs

Stopped off at The Ship, Thamesbank, Mortlake, SW London, today for lunch, on our Thames path bike ride, so glad that we did. Covid-19 measures are well implemented without being intrusive. We ate outside in the beer garden, undercover and with overhead heaters, just as well – we were warm and dry during the brief shower. The chicken burger in brioche bun, with generous bacon strips, stacked high with onion rings and side of perfect fries was a big hit. The new Philly steak sandwich on toasted sourdough with melted cheese, caramelised red onion, melted cheese, and yummy sauce, served with side salad of rocket, cucumber, cherry tomatoes in a vinaigrette dressing, was a real treat and one I'm looking forward to savouring again. Only negative was the coffee which was not strong enough and the tea which not hot enough and would've been better if served in a teapot.

I got mussels and some were frozen, asked for them as a meal and came as a side. Hallumi fries were tiny in portion but big in price. Drinks came with ice when I asked for there not to be any (all ordered on the app so it isn鈥檛 a miscommunication error it鈥檚 just pure dumbness). Was expensive and I鈥檓 incredibly disappointed will never come back here. Wiped my ass with 拢30. This is the greeneking in kingsworthy

First visit to the Half Way House in Chandlers Ford. Fab welcome, very professional & friendly, following COVID rules to the letter. Not sure who greeted me however she was lovely, a born natural to run or work in a pub. Ordered food & drinks on the app, easy to do. Swift service. Was asked how my food was & received a lovely goodbye on my departure. The toilets were checked regular during my visit. Whoever is running this pub is trying their upmost, well done to you all.

West end brewery West end Southampton.
Visited tonight as we are staying at the Ageas Bowl and although we could eat there we fancied a traditional English pub.
I must say Mel and the rest of the staff were spot on.
The food was excellent as was the atmosphere of the pub generally,I'm sure the locals are chuffed to bits to have a decent pub.Well done loved it.

The Woodman in Peterborough. How dare you tell me it is mandatory for me to sanitize my hands on entry. You also told us we had to order by the app but that's not true is it? And then you have the audacity to had us or drinks! Double standards? I'm pretty sure your staff don't sanitize all the time?
You got my money but only because my family were celebrating my daughter's last day before uni. Unfortunately, not only will you lose my future business but so will The Halcyon by default.

Discusting service at Arrowe Park Pub GK. No customer service skills from anyone that I approached last week. Systemic failure to act when querying a wrong order. Diseased culture from the top, trickling down into staff and creating some fowl individuals. The training must be next to non at said pub as non had any clue how to explain the new ordering style. Rude server when asked about another meal that should have arrived but didnt. The management said "if we didnt like it… we should get out". Then continued to square eyes and shout 'what, what!' as if he was a football hooligan at a millwall game. Pathetic!

We regularly eat at WallaceWell Farm, Robroyston Glasgow .Excellent staff, COVID procedures being
adhered to by staff and customers.
Food is excellent and the desserts are to die for. Special mention to David who
attended to us and made our stay delightful, top marks young man . Everyone keep up the good work. Thank you.

We came for a birthday celebration and Josh was the best and happiest member of staff there! He is always happy to help and we are all going to come back again, mainly because of his happy face and service!!

Had lunch with friends at the Cross Hands, Old Sodbury and all chose iems from the Savers menu. Food was good, hot and good value for money. Also had desserts from the main menue which were also good but perhaps a little on the pricey side. The staff who served us, Lucy and Harriet, were excellent attending to us in a very professional and careful manner, considering the restrictions of Covid.

Pinetree Farm – Bolton

Been to the restaurant this evening and we have not had a good night. After sitting down, we were not offered a drink for over half an hour, even though table service is advertised around the restaurant, so decided to go to the bar instead. We ordered around 19:20 and was told we鈥檇 have enough time for starters before the carvery closed at 8pm. We were still waiting for the starters (a portion of garlic mushrooms and garlic bread) at 19:55. I asked a member of staff about the starters and a concern about the carvery closing. Before they arrived, we were told that there had been a mix up in the kitchen and arrived shortly after. These were soon brought and we were told that they would keep the carvery open. The starters were cleared, without asking if our food was okay during and after the course. I had a chicken medley for my main, course which was brought along quickly by a nice polite waitress (I didn鈥檛 know her name but she was blonde) and the food from the carvery for the other friends was very generous and tasted nice. However, we were still not asked how the food was during and after the course. When these had finished, we were told that the coffee machine had been switched off despite it still being an hour before the closing times so we had a dessert instead, which again was nice. We were told to pay the bill at 9:30 as they were closing and made to feel that we had to leave- despite the premises only officially closing at 10pm. We were then practically followed out by two staff who seemed to be waiting to lock the car park when we were still stood having a conversation on the car park.
We have had many lovely meals in here and pleasant experiences, however tonight was a different story. The food was lovely when it arrived, however there is something different to be said for the service.

Absolutely disgusting. Staff don鈥檛 seem to listen when you place your order as every meal we received was wrong as well as rank. however directions of how to keep safe around the restaurant by the man at the front doors was done well.

Belfry we鈥檙e local and have eaten here a few times family friends.The last time we had steaks absolutely disgusting defrosted in a microwave the Steak onions mushrooms was swimming in water we paid and left.Haven鈥檛 returned since and would suggest you try elsewhere.

Food overcooked and tired. Had two roast dinners and a salad for my sister. Roast overcooked and heated up more that once. Salad terrible …

Woodman Pub Peterborough

Had beef chilli with half rice/chips. Meal was ok but beef in chilli was practically nonexistent.wouldn't recc.

We come to the Moulsham Inn in Chelmsford regularly. The team are great always helpful and friendly and quick to serve us.

Food is fab always served hot and quickly, great covid standards with in the pub too

Third time not lucky, We visitited the Rose & Crown Stratford upon Avon for sunday lunch, great meal, good service, on the monday we went for a meal at the Bell Inn Shottery, good meal good service. On the wednesday 19th August we went to the Rosewood, Burnham on sea, the staff were rude unproffessionel and the food was awful, sorry Rosewood you fell at every fence.

Pub in rochford essex had offer of big plate with pudding afterwards for free on Thursday but cos we didn't order pudding at same time land lady said we could not have it so beware of their offers

Had a nice family meal at the Mulberry Tree Stevenage.
Staff were very accommodating and friendly. It was clean with a nice atmosphere even during coronavirus.
It felt like old times.

The tables have no screens so you could still be sociable without feeling intimidated by plastic surrounding unlike Weatherspoon's across the street.

The Crickters Southwick
Poor service from the Manger who had a bit of an attitude.
Food cold and under cooked, didn鈥檛 seem to have any basic service skills from the staff.

Shocking food, all undercooked, the steak still had tire marks on it.

Griffin at Bowdon excellent meal, very well Covid organised and happy staff thank you for a lovely evening highly recommend

Barrbridge coatbridge
I recently placed an order with the above company online for pickup. When I went to pick my order up the girl asked what my order comprised of. I went through everything I ordered and she said that was the order she had there. So I took the order and went home. Once I got home I noticed that something was missing. So am just posting this here for everyone going to the Barrbridge Coatbridge. Please check and double check your order. The place was quiet when I went yet they still made a mistake. So please be careful. Thank you

Very poor performance by GK. They have opened their facilities again and as past regulars I thought w shouldtry them. I went to get thenew App to find it is not compatible with my Windows 10 laptop and neither with my iPad tablet. This latter is of some age I accept but it gets all the Emails I need and everything I need to find on google. I am 75 my wife a little older and whilst we enjoyed GK at Martlets, bognorregis we are not buyingall new computer kit. Bad move by GK and one customer who will go a lot less often.

After a previous not so good experience at the Bridge at Shawford we decided to give it another go! We were very disappointed again and won鈥檛 be revisiting! The starters came out with the mains. The food was barely warm and they had forgotten the onion rings on both the burgers! I was looking forward to pinching them off my sons plate! They eventually brought a bowl of onion rings out after we had finished our cold mains!
The bill was discounted but it was just such a disappointing experience! Again!
