Gray Line Iceland

I have purchased another tour (South Coast) and they informed me one day before (about 18 hours before) that the tour was going to be cancelled because there were no enough people to join. They gave me the option to change for this one or get a refund. Due to the short notice (and likelihood of not finding another tour to the south coast in the afternoon before) we accepted it.

Really good experience with the driver and the guide. If you look for an organized tour I can definitely recommend this one!

Middle of the night, 04am, heavy rain, bustation in Klettargardar closed, 24 hour telephone service closed, website not updated . . . waited for taxi in the busstop outside the closed gate – got to the airport in a taxi for isk 20.000,-
I know its covid times, but even more important now to give out clear info and update the website. The company was still very happy and willing to accept my credit card payment . . .

Very easy purchase with advance purchase and detailed information.

My booking had notable errors in it. From the website, the cost was advertised as 鈧?85, but my invoice seems to suggest 鈧?42……

Only giving one star because I cant give zero. Booked Northern Lights tour in March which due to the weather got cancelled. It's now June and still no refund!!!
They keep claiming they've refunded it. They why isn't it credited to my account then Grayline???
Fobbed off continually and it's now in the hands of credit card provider. DO NOT USE!!!

I signed up for the Northern lights tour. I live in Buffalo, NY (about 500 miles from New York City), but because travel was restricted due to coravirus, I was unable to go to Iceland. Gray Line completely refunded my payment. Thanks so much. I hope to go to Iceland when we are allowed to travel. I really want to see the northern lights!

On our recent trip to Reykjavik we used the services of Grayline several times. They were punctual, helpful and the day trip enjoyable. Even leaving my hat on the coach on be trip the customer services located it and made it available for me on my next trip. Thank you. He only one which could have been improved on was the Northern Lights trip. Not that the Northern Lights did not appear but journey there and back was unexciting, a bit boring. But the Golden Circle tour was excellent.

Bad service. First, the bus was late. Imagine how nice it is to be on the streets of Reykjavik at night in the middle of winter waiting for the bus. Second, we stayed in the supposed place waiting for the northern lights. The drivers decided to return an hour later, even with the perfect conditions to see the northern lights. Just arriving at the hotel, as soon as we drop from the bus, in the heart of Reykjavik, it was possible to see the northern lights! Payed for a damn service when you could see it for free in downtown. Don`t waste your money away.

Organisation of the tour was brilliant and they kept in contact with us throughout the entire week running up to the tour. And kept us informed as the our original booked tour on the saturday was cancelled due to bad weather.

On the date of the actual tour, tour guide was informative on route and told us how to get decent photographs – and didn't over promise that we would see anything.

We only saw a minimal northern light display, this was due to low solar flare activity and a full moon reflecting off the snow.

I would have liked more information on how to identify if.you are looking at the lights. As the colours can on be seen on a camera screen. So spent some time trying to work out whether we were looking at the lights or clouds or light reflections.

However, location was beautiful. Even if several bus loads of people were there. They didn't interfere with our viewing.

They deemed it as a none sufficient sighting and are honouring our ticket for a return visit which is valid for 2 years. Looking forward to a return trip!

Great service, tour guides are nice, you can repeat the northern lights tour if you can't see them. Quality and awesome landscapes

The trip was first cancelled. Then we rescheduled and we didn't see the northern lights. That's ok as we were aware that this can happen but the guides only stayed inside didn't really tell us much except for some good dad jokes on the way there. Then they said that this was it because we tried to see it it's done so we paid 拢50 for nothing! People were using cameras with lights and cars were coming in and out so we couldn't see anything even if the lights were there. I had friends that saw the northern lights on the same exact night but on a different location and they are no experts in finding them… so you need to improve your service.

Straightforward service to/from the airport as described. Clean and well maintained vehicle. The only issue is that it's a little hard to find the pickup point in the airport (at the end of the covered walkway and to the left of where the other buses are) as there are no signs and no directions given by Grayline in advance.

AH35 SOUTH COAST & JOKULSARTON GLACIER LAGOON . Terminal personnel very accommodating in adjusting tour earlier in week as result of potential COVID_19 schedule impact. Tour was fantastic both tour guide and driver were very helpful and informative about Iceland history.
