This experience was well worth the money. Not only was the tour guide (Irene) knowledgable and personable, but there was a lot offered in this day: hiking in a rainforest, zip-lining, a butterfly farm, and a tour of a cacao factory. It was great trying these new, unforgettable experiences.

Stayed at the Solymar hotel where we were upgraded to an ocean front room. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the beach and the boat/snorkelling tour.

The pickup hotel was on a corner with no indication which street to be on. The guide though knowledgeable was in a hurry to get through old town. At one point he left the group and we all had to just stand around and hope he would return.

Our guide was knowledgeable and completely engaged in our experience — 5-Star!! Our excursion was modified, and shorter, due to our group size of 2! The longer hike would have required adding a dedicated driver to pick us up at the end of the longer hike, the substitution was fine but knowing of the switch-up and having the option of paying a little extra to pay a driver would have been better. Having said that we did book the day before the excursion, we thoroughly enjoyed.

Very enjoyable trip, which was much better than expected. I was picked up just at the time agreed, very precise. Our tour guide Leo (from Galapagos) was very friendly and knowledgeable and had a lot of local knowledge about the Cotopaxi area. In addition to this, he provided many tips about exciting things to do in Quito. He also had a local chocolate for all the participants, as well as water (sparkling and still) from a local source to all of us. We had a few minutes of meditation up in the mountains, a nice experience. What a great guide – we was so lucky! Great value for the price – and much recommend!

I booked this online and emailed confirming pick up time and location. I arrived at the hotel 10mins before the bus was due to leave and waited outside the hotel because there was a bus from another company parked at the door. The Grayline bus was due to pick me up at 2pm. Shortly after this, it had not arrived and I checked with the concierge of the hotel if I was waiting in the correct place and he said I was, sometimes the bus was late.

Half an hour a grayline bus turned up, but when I got on it, it was destined for the airport and not the middle of the world. The bus driver, Olmedo contacted the office, who said I would get a refund. However when I have emailed the company, they started to enquire further into the situation and then stopped replying to my emails. I still have no refund and did not get to go to middle of the world. Poor service on both fronts.

The van was reported to be in an accident but I received no notice. I was waiting for them and had to call for information. They did not send another vehicle. I was given an apology and told to call a taxi.
