I ordered two decorative pillows from Grandin Road for $107, when delivered I examined the items that were not representative of the photos on the Grandin Road website. I immediately returned the items with the enclosed return label. I got an $82 credit. So $25 to inspect their junk. I wish I would have researched this company on sitejabber etc. I highly recommend you avoid this company like the plague!

I recently ordered bar stools from Grandinroad and paid and extra $91 for two day shipping however after eight days of not getting what I ordered I called customer service with no answer after holding for over an hour. I then went on live chat and requested a refund for th $91 which they refused to do. I was then told my order would not ship for another six weeks. I then canceled my order and am still waiting for the purchase to be subtracted from my credit. Do not order from this company? They are truly not reliable!

I ordered an item and Grandin Road screwed up delivery address. This was over two weeks ago and they won't send me the item until they get the other one back. It was totally their mistake. They should just send me a new one but said They would need to charge me again and then credit when the other item is returned. Horrible costumer service.

I purchased $630.00 worth of products. The animated Fortune Teller and the Witch trio. 2 days later I received a email $30 % off all Halloween decorations a few days after that email stated free shipping. I sent several emails thought I might get a courtesy for a discount since it was so recent. No reply what so ever. Of any kind. I leave the quality for last it was awful. The wells was awful some broken had to reweld and restructure both items plus missing parts of the structure. At best I should have about $150 instead of $630. Do yourself a favor and please stay away from this business I should have looked at the reviews first… buyer beware

I ordered Jasper, Frank, pumpkins I was so disappointed they were so expensive they are made out of papier-m芒ch茅. I thought they would be made out of resin they are so light and hollow. Extremely disappointed do not buy. Unless you're going to put spray foam inside of them.

I ordered some sunbrella pillows at the end of May, over 500.00 worth of pillows! Over 20 phone calls, a dozen emails, escalated to a supervisor over 5 times I still don't have them. Phone calls and emails were not returned or responded to. Finally, another email comes from them only to say there's another delay… they will be shipped Oct. 30! The summer is over… I've canceled the order. Let's see if they can do that right!

I ordered two barrel chairs. First time ever ordering from Grandinroad. They arrived pretty quickly. We liked them after unboxing. So far, so good. However, one was damaged. Trying to get it returned and replaced is where this horror story begins. I took pictures and emailed customer service. They eventually replied I had two choices: take a $79 credit and keep the chair or swap it out for a new one. Since the damage was in the front and quite visible, I opted for the latter. We really liked the undamaged chair and the 2nd chair was identical but in a different color. I was clear in my instructions I would like to exchange the chair both in emails and a printed out note inside the box. Well, not so fast. All of a sudden a PayPal credit appeared. Nothing from Grandinroad, mind you. Just a credit notice from PayPal. Not only that, the credit was short by about $49. I have no idea how they calculated the credit. So I email again (at this point, I need documentation of whats going on, not a chat with a CSR) and indicate: 1) you didn't credit me properly for the chair 2) you didn't include taxes in the credit and 3) I shouldn't have to incur shipping for a damaged product. So what happens? Now I get a credit of $11.40. Huh? Again, PayPal informs me, nothing from Grandinroad. So now I have to email again. Not only that, I noticed they charged me 7% in taxes. OHio is 5.75%. Florida, where I live is 6%. So how do we get 7%? Why is their taxes at all? They have no Point Of Sale or Nexus in Florida. I have a feeling this is going to go on for a while. As someone else on here said "consider any purchase from this company final".

The contrast between this experience and say, Amazon is like night and day. It's like Customer Service has been transported back 50 years in an era when customer experience is everything. Don't be fooled; These folks keep an upscale brand appearance but their back office operations are horrendous. BTW, Grandinroad is owned by Cornerstone Brands Inc. They own Ballard Designs, Chasing Fireflies, Frontgate, Garnet Hill, Grandin Road, Improvements, and TravelSmith. So if you want to patronize those other brands, good luck. I know I won't."

I ordered a small 3 drawer dresser which arrived about a week after I ordered it and it was very well packed.
However, the bottom drawer was not put together properly so the face of the drawer comes off, partially, as does the side of the drawer. It's made so you can't completely remove the drawer to repair it. I was able to duct tape it on the inside, but that won't hold forever. Also, the color is way off from the picture online, but that worked out ok as it goes well with my decor and I still like the look of it.
It's a heavy piece and impossible to ship back, especially since I'd have to pay shipping.
My email went unanswered so I called customer service and 40 minutes of back and forth got me a 10 percent plus shipping refund, so just over $80.
I'd have liked more, but reading all these other reviews I thought I'd better take what I could get.
The people I spoke with were helpful enough but the bottom line is the workmanship on the piece is very poor and I wouldn't order anything from them ever again.

A friend gave me a birthday $100 gift card for Grandin Road so I purchased a summer wreath for my front door. I ordered end of APRIL and it wasn't going to be shipped till end of JUNE/early JULY. The wreath cost over $100 so I had the difference put on a credit card. In early July, I noticed that I had been charged for the entire cost of the wreath on my credit card instead of the difference ($34). I called Grandin Road and was told that it would be taken care of. A couple days later I checked my credit card statement and now I had both charges ($134 and $34). Since it was pending, I waited a few days and then I went back in and both were gone. I called Grandin Roads to find out that someone had cancelled my order. And now, they were all out of these wreaths. I can't believe it. They screw up the billing, tell me its corrected, and then someone cancels it. Now I am stuck with a $100 gift card that I will never use since I will never buy anything from this place again. This was my first purchase with Grandin Road and my last.

This company is horrible. Foolish me I only read the reviews that were on the product I wanted to buy, so that's my fault for not doing proper research. I was looking forward to some wall decor that I purchased, only after it was on sale, because the price was a bit steep. I get the product and it's quite nice, BUT there's a warning sign on it stating it contains toxic chemicals that can cause cancer and lead to birth defects. I'm sorry, WHAT!? I would've never purchased this from them had this been disclosed somewhere in the description or in a disclaimer. I've submitted a review twice for my disappointment, and both have been denied, so they're misleading customers and not printing bad reviews. I also put in an email request to have someone contact me because I don't feel I should have to pay the outrageous return shipping fee when I wouldn't have bought this product from the beginning had they been honest about it….and of course no one has gotten back to me. DO NOT buy from this horrible company! They clearly don't care about their customers at all, and are just in it to make money. If I could give this company 0 stars, I would.

I have had a similar experience as mentioned by Sandra A in her 5/12/20 review. I ordered an item on 5/11/20 and received an email notice stating that there may be a delay in receiving my order. No time frame was given for this delay. I sent two emails inquiring about the delay. No email response from Grandin Road. I talked to a customer service representative on 5/13/20. She said the item ordered was shipping soon. It was not shipped.
I received a text message, on 5/17/20, stating that the item would ship on 5/18 and that I would receive a shipping notification email. I did not receive an email notification and the item was not shipped. Spoke with another customer service representative, Brandy, on 5/19 and she told me that the item was scheduled to ship that day (5/19). It did not ship. Spoke with another customer service representative, Kim, on 5/20 and she told me that the item was scheduled to ship that day (5/20). It did not ship. None of the customer service representatives that I spoke with made any effort to go beyond reading me what was listed on their computer screen, no one attempted to reach out to the shipping department, or anyone else, to determine why there was a delay. (To be fair, the customer service reps may have been instructed to respond in this manner to all inquiries.) Not the type of customer service that I would expect from a company that does not sell inexpensive merchandise. I have ordered from many different companies during the Covid-19 crisis, and every other company was able to give me an accurate idea of how long the delay would be. Not Grandin Road. Shop elsewhere and save yourself the headache.

I placed an order on a Saturday night and Grandin Road charged me 3 times on my credit card! I was told i would be refunded by Monday but my Bank states the money is still not put back ! I have spoken to 3 Supervisors who claim the charges were reversed; However they were not!

I ordered end of April and still nothing. Been lied to each day I call that its being shipped that day but still sitting in warehouse. I've given them chances to be honest, i realize there is Covid but to lie to me in emails and on phone is not right. I'm canceling my order and getting elsewhere.

I ordered chairs from another company and was so disappointed. Yes it was cheaper but I suffered. I accidentally sent the new chairs to the wrong address and they expedited shipping fast so I could have them and they are excellent quality! I'm so happy after a bad experience…and they shipped my chairs to my new address in 3 days even though it was my mistake!!! Love love love!!!

Great high quality products ( bedding, home decorations and outdoor products). I have had shipping issues and items broken in shipping which is the reason l didn't give a Five Star. The quality of products and customer service is top notch, however I had issues ordering online and had to call my order in. Overall I am very happy with all my products. I wish they would have better discounts.

This company is a total fraud! The "sales" are not sales but a bait and switch for when you get to checkout. Be careful they over tax, over charge for shipping, and change the original price of the item during the last minute at check out. It's unfortunate because they lost a buyer in me for trying to over charge an extra hundred dollars. Bad business model!

Placed an online order during a recent sale. After submitting order I noticed the shipping charges were higher than I expected and the taxes were double the sales tax rate in my area. Contacted Grandin Road customer services and was told shipping is calculated on original price, not sale prices. Wow, only company I know of to charge shipping on original prices, not actual prices. Was also told over taxation would have to go through billing department. After repeated calls, live chat and emails, still no response. Buyer beware!

Beware TOADS appear very cute but are toxic critters. I'm here because for the SECOND time I've left a one star review on a product sold by GRAND TOAD and for the second time they refused my review. I'm 52, no cursing, just an honest clean detailed review. Yet GRAND TOAD says it doesn't fit their guidelines. GRAND TOAD's "guidelines" are obviously not allowing truthful reviews. They are deceptively hiding true reviews on their products. A company that knows their CRAP is way over priced for what it is and desperately trying to hide it! So dishonest! I noticed someone else here had their honest review denied too. Seems to be a pattern here.
It's true, if it's on sale, don't expect to use the free shipping! As soon as you input the code, the price goes back to regular price on the item(s) you wanted.
I can describe this company with one word. GREEDY! Their managing board must be loaded with small minded, greedy people who haven't gotten the concept that lowering prices to a more REASONABLE level will bring so many more sales than the few sales at higher priced. A board full of ignorance. No wonder they have so many poor reviews off site!
For people who like their Halloween, Target of all companies blows GRAND TOAD Away! Check out Target's Hyde N Eek Boutique, it's amazing. Look around too for the holidays. I've found just about everything available at this nasty (GRAND TOAD) place, available elsewhere including Amazon where you can get free shipping as long as it's not sold by GRAND TOAD which also sells on Amazon. Bringing their deception to the masses! Very little is exclusive to GRAND TOAD, look around and you'll find it elsewhere and save yourself the hassle of feeling of being taken advantage of by this dishonest company.
I've included a picture of what I tried to review. It's a $99 item that is small and hollow. GRAND TOAD didn't want me telling people.

Bought 4 stools, sent me all mismatched colors, one oak and tan, one black and grey, one blue and grey etc.. I ordered white and flint…
so called to exhchange… for the correct damn stools, the ones I ordered. They picked up next day from ups and now three weeks later, still no $#*!ing stools. I call again they tell me they are in a warehouse in two different places (11/25) and once they get them ( their wrong stools) they can send me out my correct stools ( the ones I ordered 11/2)
So….. u took my money, now I'm waiting and waiting, and waiting. U can't send me my correct stools till you get your old ones back, because I paid with PayPal??? Wtf??? Then why offer that option to the consumer if it causes these issues?
Do not buy $#*! from these idiots. Customer service is nice, but don't solve problems

This place is excellent at bait and switch. Went to their site where many items were 15% off the already reduced sale price. Then they tell you to use a code to get free shipping. When you use the free shipping code the 15% sale price disappears and it goes back to the reduced price. That is just dishonest. If it is on sale then it is on sale — not on sale when they offer free shipping?? Then the sale on holiday items changes the next week and the sale percentage is decreased? How to sale prices increase — they should be lower than the last time — not more. Today they said 50% any one item. But they took away the sale price so after 50% off the price was higher than when it was on sale. I wall going to buy about $250 worth of stuff from them but after seeing their deceptive pricing I canceled my order.
