Grand Western Steaks

The price for the food purchased is reasonable and the website is easy to navigate. Shipping was very fast and the steaks came in completely frozen and there was no damage or tampering to the box. The steaks were extremely flavorful and tender. My only thought is I ordered the half inch steaks and I should have ordered a thicker 1" steak because the 1/2 steaks did not look as appealing as a thicker steak but the steaks I ordered were very delicious.

OK. So Guga on youtube is a shill for these guys. But here's the reality. Yes, the meat is "tender." But far more importantly from my culinary perspective is that it is astonishingly, mind-blowingly tasteless. I don't understand how meat that is a)aged and b)that marbled can have so little flavor–to the point of being watery. In fact the tenderness at this point contributes to the feeling that you are eating something that is grown in a lab. Which given the feedlots this meat probably comes from is, my guess, not far from the truth.
Aside from that, they screwed up my first order…without anything resembling a real apology. It should be obvious that I won't be purchasing anything from these guys anymore. They've got a good scam going but what they are selling is not quality. It's advertising and a few well placed spokespeople.

I have to say I'm so glad for YouTube and Hugs foods for sending me to Grandwestern! The meat is top notch and the quality and taste of the Australian waygu is worth every penny! Local stores pale in comparison! You can't go wrong here. Don't be afraid to buy or worry about meat thawing. They ship in cooler with dry ice and over night! 10 stars for me

Great delivery, it was on time and everything was still solid. Your packaging and boxes are stellar! The boxes the meat is in is a beautiful and heavy-duty box. These are packed in a tight sealing styrofoam box that鈥檚 a snug fit in the cardboard shipping box. The dry ice kept everything cold and solid. And, of course, the steaks were great. I bought picanha and ribeye. I love grilling them over charcoal on my Weber kettle. We loved them both, and I tend to prefer the picanha. I鈥檝e ordered before and I鈥檓 sure I鈥檒l order again.

They are the best meat a Vegan will never eat. Wagu burgers are exceptional. The giant shrimp are outstanding. And the veal cutlets are to die for. As far as this carnivore is concerned there ain't no BETTER.

I sorry for the low review however, I am very disappointed with the Picanha steaks as well as the WAGU Hamburger patties. I have ate about 7 of the steaks and 2/3's of the vacuum seals were lost upon thawing. My biggest complaint is the amount of "silver skin" that I have found that has made most of the steaks tough and difficult to chew. I took the recommendation from Guga Foods however, i am not impressed. The WAGU hamburger does not look like Guga's or the website. Its all brown with minimal marbling that I was expecting. I am sorry for the negative review however, I paid over $350 dollars for high quality meat. I ensured that I had tried numerous cuts before commenting. Service was great. To be honest I was hoping for a better meat. The Ribeye was very good but not great. I still have two more to eat so I鈥檓 hoping for a different outcome.
