In 2016 I purchased a brand new Regal Yacht from Liz at Grand Bay Marine. Liz was very available and customer focused thru the purchasing process. Part of our purchase agreement included 1yr dockside service. Once the boat was delivered, and during the early months of the very 1st two boating seasons the response from Liz and Grand Bay Marine changed to unresponsive and combative.

We were attempting to report things like a defective windshield (leaking water in several places), problems with the windless anchor, issues with the cabin door lock and several other small things that did not work properly on the boat. Liz quickly advised her service dept not to take our calls and that we had to speak directly to her. More than not we were advised she was not available and they would take a message.

Ultimately we had to write a letter to Regal in Florida, before the windshield issue was addressed. We later learned Regal had installed a defective Taylor Made windshield that had been identified as defective prior to the build of the boat. It was always a struggle to get Liz to address the warranty issues we experienced during the 1st two years of owning the boat.

You may ask why were we having several issues with a brand new boat – so were we! All I can say is I would never ever do business with Grand Bay Marine or buy a Regal. If you do – you will learn how the experience changes after you take delivery of the boat!

I decided to buy a older used boat in the middle of winter from Grand Bay online. They were total transparent, about the condition of the boat and the financial dealings. Kyle our salesman offered outstanding service and information, the management and service personnel were very professional helping to complete the transaction to our satisfaction. Best of all they made us a great deal on a great boat. Deal with confidence with Grand Bay.

Took my boat to them for maintenance and ended up costing me 3200. From an error they made. Totally lied about the whole situation

In the spring of 2015, Grand Bay Marine took our deposit for a boat and refused to refund the money when their seller backed out of the deal, breaching their contract and ours. This left us with no boat and $3,324 in the hole for deposit and survey fees. After weeks of practically begging for a refund, the owner refused.

It is my opinion that Grand Bay Marine was not forthcoming regarding the seller's intentions. By not refunding our deposit, I believe these actions clearly demonstrate Grand Bay Marine lacks integrity, ethics and fairness when dealing with customers. BUYER BEWARE: think twice before you trust this company!

I would never recommend Grand Bay Marine to anyone. We bought a pontoon boat and Shore Station lift from them and had 2 major warranty issues with the lift in the first summer. We could not get Grand Bay to accept our warranty claim. First they told us there was no warranty. When we told them the warranty card said 2 years parts and labor and to call your dealer for work, then they said that they did not repair lifts and that we had to arrange it our self. It was difficult to get anyone there to accept responsibility. We had to leave multiple messages for the owner (Liz C), most of which she ignored. When she did contact us she stated she'd have to get back to us, which she never did. After weeks of frustration, we finally called the manufacturer Shore Station directly and relayed our frustration. They contacted the distributor who arranged warranty work. After the second problem we went through the same thing again with Grand Bay for weeks. They just refused to take any responsibility, get involved or return calls. They kept saying they don't handle warranty work for lifts. This time we called the distributor and the lift got fixed. After spending $53K for the boat and over $8K for the lift I feel that Grand Bay could care less about us as customers. Liz the owner smiles to our face but did nothing to assist us, and no one else there either knew what to do or could take responsibility to do it. We were without our boat for almost half the summer trying to get these issues resolved. FYI: Grand Bay Marine has an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau in 2014.
