I have been lied to from Day one of purchasing a vehicle from this company!
I'd seen the car on the website I went to go and see and purchase the vehicle, I was told that I was not allowed to view it, as it was in Middlesbrough and that if I paid a deposit it would secure the vehicle as mine.
They refused to bring the car to the Andover office as it would be a waste of their time and money if I decided not to take the car, until I paid a deposit and was told the car would be 100% mechanically sound otherwise it would be their loss if it wasn't so I decided to trust them.
I reluctantly paid the deposit and was told that the car was going in for a service, MOT and valet. I was told by Chloe the receptionist that I would have the car on Saturday 30th July 2016 after paying a deposit on 29th July 2016, and that I would receive it latest by Monday.
Monday late afternoon came so I rang them and they informed me that the car was not ready and that an engine light has appeared on the Vauxhall Astra 1.6 06 plate and that they were going to rectify the problem. Jeff the owner of the company also informed me that the back drivers side passenger door was not working and would not open and that was also getting fixed.
I got a phone call Tuesday saying that the problems had been fixed and that the car was safe to pick up with a full MOT on it. When I picked up the car, when I first drove it wasn't too bad, but I felt lagging on the engine.
When I returned home I checked the door and that still would not open and the engine light was still on so I called the company back they told me to bring in on Thursday and they apologised. I return the car at 9 AM on Thursday as agreed. One hour later I got a phone call from the company to tell me that they couldn't fit in this Thursday and to come and pick the car up and it will be put in on Monday. By Friday the car brokedown on a busy 60mph road, I called them to tell them o was stuck on a busy road to which they responded we don't do recovery. I was horrified but ended up paying for the RAC to come and recover the vehicle and take it back to the office Jeff greeted me and told me he was very sorry and that he'd been told that the work had been done by the garage so he doesn't know why the problems are still happening. The RAC man did the diagnostics on the vehicle and sent over an email to Jeff to enable him to see what the problems were Jeff promise me that the car will be fixed by Monday and they'd call me a soon as it was done. I received a call at 5:45pm on Monday to tell me that the car was safe to drive and that he had sent it to the garage it had all been fixed and someone had drove it and proved that it was safe to drive.
So on 9 August 2016 I went to go and pick up the vehicle however the office was closed but they'd hidden the key for me to find and take the vehicle when I got to the vehicle I noticed that the engine light was still on, the car was still in limp mode and the passenger driver-side door still did not open. I attempted to drive the vehicle home however it would not have got me home safely, therefore I left it in the car park and call them. As I had a number of times I got given a load of excuses telling me that the car had been done but I refuse to accept what he was telling me so I requested my deposit back. He reluctantly agreed that I would drop the keys off and receive my deposit on Thursday, 11 August 2016. However on 10 August 2016 at approximately 10 AM I received harassing phone calls and messages to tell me I needed to bring back the keys immediately and if I didn't I would lose my deposit as they will get a locksmith out. I refused to give the key back until I receive my deposit I wanted it to be in mutual exchange. However I refuse to give the key back until I receive my deposit I wanted it to be in mutual exchange. However Mr Gladsby proceeded to shout at me and be verbally abusive towards me until I agreed to come in and give the keys.
My husband and I went to the office on the agreement I have my deposit back today, he destroyed all my contract that I had with them and the contract i signed of theirs all documents were destroyed and the deposit was refunded.
In this meeting that we had, jeff tried to intimidate my husband by calling him mate and laughing at him and using verbally threatening language. He argued that I was in the wrong and that he had not known anything was wrong with the car he lied and said that the car had been moved when the RAC had dropped the car off, but The car had not been moved from where the RAC man had left it. Jeff got defensive because I was calling him a liar in a subtle way and become quite nasty after he realised I was not leaving the office until I receive my money he reluctantly transferred the 拢295 into my bank account and we left.
However I put 拢40 petrol in the car and paid for the recovery yet none of this was reimbursed.

We come off lucky in this situation as Mr Jeff Gladsby said himself he does not normally give deposits back under any circumstances even if the car is faulty and especially if it's a man so beware of this dodgy dealer and do not approach him!
