Grab A Gardener

Never had a problem until recently . For the last two months never had any service, I am disabled and realie on good person to keep things tidy so I was disappointed with what has happened. They owe me 80 pounds which I can't afford to lose as I have had to pay someone to do the work, have asked for the money back but they wouldn't I take it as I've heard nothing from them . I have now cancelled my monthly payment and cancelled them. Please save yourself a lot of hassle and never use them as they will let you down.

I have used Grabagarderner.com on several occasions in the past. I booked 4 hour slot to trim the hedge in back garden, prune creeper in the front garden, mow the lawn in front/back garden. I was told by employee 'A' from grabagardener that my regular Gardner 'B' is no longer working in my area, so she will send another gardener. I was not comfortable as I was not going to be around at the time they were scheduled to arrive. 'A' assured me I she will pass information to the gardeners when they arrive at my house. I provided employee 'A' access and waste disposal instructions, she confirmed again she will pass those on.
On the day of the appointment I checked the Live CCTV at my house and found that the gardener was weeding my driveway which I found strange, as I had not asked for it. Then I checked the back camera of my house, to my surprise, No work had been done in the back garden. Hedge which was first on my priority list was untouched and so was the lawn. I contacted Grabagarner.com and queried why the gardener has not worked on the back garden. I got response from "Owner" and QUOTE 鈥?I have spoken to the gardeners and they have confirmed that they did not have time to do the back garden as they worked through your priority list. All of the time was taken in the front. 鈥?br />

I was surprised with this response and pointed out, Hedge which was first on my priority list, and Pruning wisteria which was planted last year (young plant) and small front garden about size of van, could not have taken 4 hrs.

Then 鈥淥wner鈥?came up with as new story QUOTE 鈥淭he gardeners have commented that the back gate was locked? Accordingly, they started with the front garden, shrubs and wisteria, which do take time to prune. They also weeded the driveway. Please note that anything above 6 feet, regarding the hedges in the back, would require a quote so they would not have been able to carry out the hedge work above 6 feet within the maintenance rate. They would have had to assess the hedges and then provide you with a quote. 鈥?br />

I was still not having it and asked them why Grabagardener did inform me hedges require separate quotes and why the access information was not passed to as promised. I dont blame the gardener, they were not passed correct access information, gate was open on the other side(2 gates to the house)

I got another story from 鈥渙wner鈥?and QUOTE: 鈥?In this instance, they used the time to prune the wisteria, shrubs and weeding of the drive, which took all of the time. They therefore did not have any time to do the back garden. The gardeners that we sent to you are extremely efficient and experts at pruning, so I can assure you that if they had any spare time they would have called to ask about access.鈥?br />
Their reply below indicates I booked 3 hrs but the fact is I booked 4 hrs. I have a email from them saying the gardener finished work early so they were weeding the driveway, but below they say, not enough time. But truth and facts mean nothing to them.

Mistakes do happen, but a good company will try to put things right, Grabagardener have not completed the job as promised and want me to pay them more money to fix their mistakes. Think twice before using them.

Both gardeners arrived early and were very friendly during briefing. I scheduled for a three hour clean-up session for my garden, and they completed it in half the time. Were very professional and thorough. Would definite recommend this service.

Andrew worked steadily, professionally and hard on a hot afternoon completing all the jobs that needed doing and my garden is looking a lot tidier.

I have a very low maintenance garden that just needs a tidy up now and then and a prune twice a year usually. I will have no hesitation in coming back to Grab a Gardener next time my garden needs some attention.

Gardener turned up on time, was professional, friendly and helpful. I have signed up to the regular service so I hope all continues in the same way.

This is an excellent service and convenient service and our current gardener is amazing, but gardener quality can vary.

From the moment l e.mailed Grab a Gardener l had an amazingly quick response and an incredibly efficient service. A phone call from Nav within an hour or so, followed by an actual gardener the very next day, after many months of trying to find one, was very impressive to say the least. Amazing service,the work carried out is to a very high professional service.We was a little worried as we both had to work the day the gardener came round so was left unsupervised, but he must of worked flat out to achieve the result he has!
