My daughter and I booked a 10 day trip from California to Rwanda and South Africa with Gina Dorey at Goway travel. It was truly an amazing trip. The travel itself was long (22 hrs) and involved a few transfer along the way, but we were so graciously taken care of by agents such as Derek from Thompson鈥檚 travel who meet up at 3am in the Johannesburg airport to make sure we got to our next connecting flight or our amazing driver from Primate Safaris in Rwanda, Aimoble, who drove us hundreds of miles in three days. All set up through Gina.

We can鈥檛 say enough about the beautiful place we stayed in Rwanda, the Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge. It went beyond our expectations and we will never forget the lodge, the people, the food and most of all the, the Silverback Gorilla鈥檚.
Goway and their international partners took very good care of us!

We spent approx two weeks with Goway's local tour leader in Morocco (Feb 23-Mar 9), Cynab Voyages. They did a fantastic job, from arrival to departure. Our driver Hicham was fantastic. He toured us around most of the country, over the Atlas Mountains, to the Sahara to the Atlantic. He ensured we were safely in the hands of every riad and hotel we stayed in. He connected us up to the best local guides and we had many fascinating conversations. The quality of the riads and the hotel were very good overall, and we loved the desert camp overnight in a berber tent.

I normally book my own travel, but for a trip of a lifetime, I worked with Patrick Carleton of Goway. He could not have been more professional, knowedgeable, or caring in dealing with us. He found better rates, greater opportunities, and handled all the details I may have missed so we could have an amazing trip!

His real character showed when there were problems caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. Pro-active in communications, getting us alternatives in real time, and assuring we were taken care of. Even when our credit card was hacked while abroad, he found a way for us to continue.

I will book my next trip via Goway and Patrick, and I strongly recommend others do the same!

We booked a trip to Tahiti Jan-2020. Goway found us a great place on Moorea in an over water bungalow. They also found a deal that saved us 30% on the room. We would consider using them again.

We had the most amazing time and sincerely loved everything we did and where we stayed during our honeymoon to Bali and Singapore!!! I absolutely LOVED Alila in Seminyak and also Como in Ubud- both locations were different but both amazing and they both had the most amazing service I have ever received (especially in Ubud- everyone knew us by name!!). Seminyak was definitely more city vibe with lots of nightlife and restaurants and being right on the beach was awesome. The food was really great too and you can't go wrong with $7 massages!!! Ubud was also amazing but more laid back- inland and more relaxing- our hotel felt like a little bungalow! For Marina Bay Sands- obviously an amazing hotel with great amenities (the pool was amazing and we got to see fireworks). The city was amazing- the shopping and food was great, but staying two days was certainly enough.

We loved all of our tours but we ended up not doing the tour of the rice fields on one of the days. Our tour guide and driver were amazing and very accommodating.

Thanks so much for the wonderful planning! We had the best time and sincerely loved everything we did and where we stayed!

I had never done trip planning through a travel agent, let alone an on-line travel agent, before, so I wasn't sure how this would work out before my trip. The three week trip I had to Australia and New Zealand worked out great. Every time we had an excursion, transfer, hotel, or flight there was no issue with the arrangements or reservation. We really enjoyed the excursions that they had planned. There were a few long bus trips that I would do differently, but they were still fine. The tour guides on the bus and other excursions were all excellent.

Overall a great experience… the reps worked with me diligently in customizing our family adventure….Questions were answered and if something was not cleared they checked and then provided the answer鈥攐ur biggest concern was our 2 rooms being connected and they by far exceeded that at all 4 of our destinations in Thailand …. the 1 downside perhaps was the floating market we were there way too early and enjoyed it but did not get to experience the full grasp of it as well as the River Kwai and museum was really not enjoyable and draining. All the rest was amazing the guides spoke English and they were very knowledgeable…..

The trip was great. The only things that we would ahve changed were:
On Fri., Nov. 8th- the Mt. Tarawera Crater Walk Experience in New Zealand: We thought that this was going to be a scenic walk around the top of an extinct crater. Instead, we went off road after 1/2 an hour to climb with the van for another 30 minutes up an un-kept road (they had permission to be on it) up the side of a crater to near the top. Then we started to walk on scree (3-4" of loose shale and stone) up a path. If you don't dig your toe in (or heel in going down, you are walking on 3-4" of loose stone and you will fall). I fell once. Then we got to a point and the leader said that either we had to climb a 50' rock-climbing cliff on the way to the top of the volcano and then slide/ walk/ run down the inside 1,000 metres from the top of the volcano to the bottom of it. My husband did all of that, but I turned back at the half way climb. I said that I would go back to the van by myself, but they had 2 guides on, and one walked back with me (and I fell on my other side even with him hanging on to me!). My photography of my half is fantastic, and my husbband loved his whole climb despite his bad back, but we both felt that it should not have been offered to people in their 70's without checking our condition (I huffed and puffed the half way that I did go). There was a younger couple from BC and they hike and climb all of the time and they went on the whole thing and were fine. Everyone else was about 25 years old. So- just something to think about!
On Friday Nov. 22nd- our time in Sydney, Australia- we would have done things quite differently
1. We ended up adding both loops of the hop on hop off bus in Sydney- something that wasn't on the tour at all (the Sydney boat hop-on-hop-off was on it), but we didn鈥檛 get a feeling for Sydney until we went on both loops of the hop on hop off bus (we actually didn鈥檛 get off- just stayed on for 3 hours and listened to the descriptions of all of the parts of the city). We would have added and started with this.
2. We also added our own Sydney Opera House Tour which I booked independently- we loved it. We had tried to add our own Sydney orchestra performance at the Opera House, but there wasn't one- or an opera when we were there.
3. They had us booked to go on the Hop on hop off boat in Sydney Harbour (there are 4 different loops) which was fun, but we didn't have time to get off at all, and we just stayed on one loop for 90 minutes because we wanted to do the two loops of the hop of hop off bus on the same day (and the bus tour was not in our itinerary. Their zoo is on one of the islands in the harbour, so that's fun, but we didn't see i).
4. They had booked us for a "Wilderness and Aboriginal Explorer Tour" on Sat. Nov. 23rd which we did enjoy (it was going to a different national park (to "Ku-ring-gai Chase National park"- which is not well known and was quiet,) and for a boat ride up the lake there to see some aboriginal cave paintings in that park. That was pleasant and interesting. . The "Ku-ring-gai Chase national Park" is like one of our national parks- nice- but no comparison to the one and only Blue Mountains
5. A highlight was The Blue Mountains which are fantastic! We were not scheduled to go on this, but our friends offered to take us there. The Blue haze – which is very blue- over the canyons – is made from the oil given off by the eucalyptus trees. They are more like the Grand Canyon- spectacular. I had asked our travel agent why we were missing the Blue Mountains in the original itinerary and the agent said that both mountain ranges were very similar. They were not. We would have made The Blue Mountains a must-see on the itinerary- either day 2 or 3. Our friends in Sydneyhad noticed that we were not seeing The Blue Mountains, and they took us there for the day. We now consider The Blue Mountains a "must-see".
So, for our time in and around Sydney;
a. we would have spent the first day in Sydney doing both loops of the Hop on Hop off bus tour- seeing the city and getting off at some stops.
b. We would have spent day 2 of Sydney going on an all-day tour of the Blue Mountains. They were spectacular. Not to be missed.
c. We probably would have spent day 3 on the hop on hop off boat (it was a 24 hour ticket).
d. We would have enjoyed the Wilderness and Aboriginal Explorer Day-long tour as a 4th day "extra".
The rest of the trip was perfect.

We recently enjoyed an adventure to Croatia and Greece. The beauty of each country is astounding. A must see recommendation for family and friends.
The accommodations were centrally located, clean with knowledgeable staff.
Tours and transfers were conducted with experienced friendly guides.
There was very little that we we would change if we were to do this adventure again.
Once again, Michael Rigillo did a terrific job of putting together an itinerary to suit us and our good friends. We can hardly wait to see where Goway takes us next.

I chose Goway because of their lower price compared to other tours I checked. My 13 yr. old son and I traveled to Australia from June 20-July 4, 2019. We flew into Brisbane. We waited only about 15 minutes before our transportation was there even though our flight had arrived late. It took about an hour to get to our hotel since we were sharing the van with others who got dropped off at other locations. Our first hotel was Mantra Sun City in Surfer's Paradise. The hotel was great (it was more like an apartment with a washer and dryer) and the staff there was extremely courteous. Great looking outdoor pool, but it was too cold to use it. Indoor pool too as well as a restaurant that was only open for breakfast. We had the first two full days on our own and used Uber to go to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary (HIGHLY recommend) the first day and then SeaWorld. Our first tour was to Tangalooma Island Resort on Moreton Island. We did have to walk with our luggage to another Mantra hotel not too far away (this seemed silly because the driver passed right by our hotel). The island was fun – segways on the beach (extra charge) and sand toboganning down a huge hill. We waited until dark to feed dolphins which was rather disappointing as they held your hand while you put the fish in the water. You can barely see the dolphins in the pictures. After the ferry ride back we were on to our next hotel, Novotel Brisbane. Very similar to an American hotel and nice enough to lend us a charging block for our phones since our travel adapter was not right! Next morning, off to Australia Zoo – AMAZING – with a lot of walking. Our van driver gave lots of good tips about what to see and when to be at the Crocoseum for good seats. Early airplane to Cairns. Due to a flight delay, we had to wait for our ride for about an hour and a half but the weather was great. After an hour drive to Port Douglas (our driver talked about things we were seeing along the way), we checked into the Bay Villas Resort. Again, an apartment with washer and dryer! Check-in desk offered us a wheeled basket to go get groceries and we had FREE wi-fi Outer Barrier Reef snorkeling – AWESOME, including crew, lunch. refreshments, and sighting a whale and calf on the way back! Kuranda Classic Tour with Skyrail up, Rainforestation, and Scenic Railway on the way back — AWESOME – remember to download Skyrail App ahead of time (the Railway App just says what is coming over the intercom anyway). We had a day to ourselves which we used to go to the life guarded beach, explore rocks and tidepools, and take pictures from an overlook point. Next day fly to Sydney and were met by a limo driver. He was amazing! We checked into Travelodge Wynyard where the front desk forgot to tell me that you need to use your key to turn on the lights! Regular hotel room with very little space to move around. Next morning we walked to Circular Quay to catch a Captain Cook Cruise around the harbor (tour guide telling the sights). We were scheduled to do Taronga Zoo Wild Experience that day but arrived after the scheduled check-in time. However, after calling the zoo and leaving a message it was no problem change the experience to the following day. Taronga Zoo is another AMAZING place – just be prepared for a lot of walking as it is built on the side of a hill! You do go up in a cable car and there's a really nice cafe and gift shop before you enter the zool During our "wild experience" we went around with a zookeeper who had worked there for 20 yrs. We went inside the koala enclosure, had 1:1 time with an echidna, saw a baby sugar glider up close, went into several animal cages while they were being fed, and went into the kitchen to see how they keep track of everyone's food. Overall, it was a really wonderful trip! Although almost every day featured an activity, they were all finished by 5-5:30 so you felt like you had "down time" and were ready for the next day. We loved it! We did have several different destination specialists between our initial booking and our departure, but nothing seemed to fall through the cracks and they were very quick to respond to emails and answer questions.

Melissa C. was amazingly helpful and accommodating when planning our trip to Scotland, and then when we switched to Portugal instead. Even after we had to change our trip plans for a third time, and unfortunately had to decide to book our trip ourselves, Melissa C. was kind and helpful – she did not make us feel bad at all for not booking with Goway Travel in the end. She even continued to suggest places to visit in Portugal that she loved herself. We will definitely book with this company in the future, when our travel plans and budget allow it!

Thanks Melissa!

It was a great decision to travel to a place my husband and I were not familiar. The travel guides were fantastic and provided a lot of information to each place we visited. The hotel accommodations were good and the hotel staff was exceptional. I would recommend Goway travel to anyone. I also would use them again for overseas travel to a foreign destination.

Peru

There is nothing more comforting that arriving at a foreign destination and there is someone waiting there with a piece of paper with your name on it. Goway organized a very detailed private tour for us to explore Peru and visit the classic sites but in a relaxed and informed manner. Starting in Lima, the accomodations were 5 star and each tour or experience was supported by a very well informed guide (Barbara in Lima) who paced the tour to our needs. Experiences from museum dinners, ceviche bars and wandering in the markets were wonderful. Then off to Cusco, with enough time to acclimatize to the altitude. Our tours through the city and the Sacred Valley were so informative (Victoria our guide) and flexible to adapt to any changes such as religious festivals and the speed of us climbing up the stairs. Then on to Machu Picchu on the Hiram Bingham train up and down the valley and the Sanctuary Lodge. We had three wonderful days on the mountain with walks to the Inca Bridge and the Sun Gate. Then back to Cusco and on to Puno and Lake Titicaca. We had a great day on the lake visiting the Uros Reed village and other sites (Lady was our guide). It was my wife's birthday and hearing Happy Birthday in various languages was a great moment. Roses at the hotel were special. Finally across the border to Bolivia and a new experience in La Paz and the neighbourhood. It was unique smuggling a bouquet of roses across the border. It was great to have lunch with Jhankia our guide and Jorge our driver at the museum site. Finally back to Lima and a day of luxury at the Country Club before returning home.

Everytime we were to meet a guide or a transfer vehicle, they were always there and on time. We had many unique experiences visiting markets, indigenous villages and enjoyed some amazing meals. Overall, one of our great experiences travelling

Gower Travel was recommended by my brother as he and his wife had used their service 27 years ago when they went to Australia and New Zealand. We and and another couple decided to go on the Australia triangle trip after a cruise which we had planned ourselves. Because we flew into Auckland prior to the cruise, Goway also helped us book a hotel and excursions for that portion of our vacation. All the Goway people we encountered by phone and email as well as in person at an Australia travel show were friendly, helpful, and responsive to our questions. While in New Zealand, we had questions about a tour and our agent was very quick in giving us useful information. Our whole trip in Australia was trouble-free and we were very happy to have chosen Goway to be our tour company for this trip of a lifetime.
