We had a private 8 day Serengeti safari with Gosheni Safaris Africa and guide William – what a spectacular, excellent, and incredible experience. Gosheni had the best prices, itinerary, jeeps and guide – William – who is outstanding.

We toured many areas: Tarangire, Lake Natron, North Serengeti, Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. With sharp eye William, we saw the Big 5: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. We saw thousands of wildebeest cross the Mara River, not just once, but twice. Saw hundreds of other animals including a live hurt wildebeest being attacked by a hyena. Thanks to owner, Peter, Gosheni safaris included fabulous accommodations – the finest glamping experience and great food. Besides the amazing game drives, we also toured a Maasai village, went on a hot air balloon ride, toured the Olduvai Museum, and canoed Lake Manyara. We will definitely return to Tanzania and request William of Gosheni Safaris!

1) Tour Operator is Important.
After researching numerous safari outfits, we found Gosheni had the ideal and flexibly itineraries as well as the best prices.

Owner Peter put together a fabulous 8 day private Safari adventure for us. Locations included: Tarangire National Park, Lake Natron, Northern Serengeti, Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. You can select a private or group tour, different levels of accommodations as well as a variety of activities.

2) Guide is Important.
We were very fortunate to have the best guide, William, who was an expert at spotting and knowing about every single animal and bird, as well as details about each area and the history. His driving skills were excellent, navigating very challenging roads safely and skillfully. William is multi-lingual and speaks perfect English. He is also the nicest person and always made sure that we were well taken care of. For example, William has great instincts and we saw two Wildebeest crossings in Northern Serengeti, over 50 giraffes clustered by the road while driving to Central Serengeti, a pool of 20 Hippos in the Seronera River, male and female lions while driving to Ngorongoro Crater… we could go on and on.

3) Vehicle is Important.
Husband and I traveled in a brand new 7-seater Land Cruiser. Gosheni has top of the line Safari vehicles with a pop-up roof, big windows, comfortable double cushioned seats, and wifi (they have USB ports or bring a type G electrical adapter). Jeep was clean every morning when William picked us up.

4) Meals are Important.
Gosheni safaris includes all meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They are also able to accommodate any food preferences. We are vegan and had delicious meals. During lunch breaks, we noticed that other tour groups had bag lunches, but Gosheni Safaris provided full course lunches served on dishes, including a tablecloth and cloth napkins, along with unlimited bottled water and soft drinks, even wine is you like. Special touches such as this sets Gosheni apart from all the rest. There are other amenities that we won't mention so that you can be pleasantly surprised.

5) Tip: bring lots of cash for tipping and purchases. US dollars have to be newer crisp bills. Many shops don't have credit cards machines, and even exclusive lodges are cash only as their credit card machines often don't work.
Bring smaller bills for tipping baggage handlers and larger bills for the general tipping jar at the lodge, and of course, at the end of the safari, tip your guide well as he works very hard.

Incredible experience ! acommadations were amazing, the food excellent. The safari was above our expectations. Ombeni, was the best guide,very professional, patience and a lot of knowledge. The truck is super comfortable, with wifi, charger..we super recommend the experience, could not have been better! We came in covid situation and everything was amazing!

It was an once in a lifetime stay! Ombeni was a Perfect Guide for us and we will never forget it!!! Although there is a lot of trouble around Corona, we felt very safe and they did an excellent job here! We would rate Ombeni with 6 stars if we could 😀

The best agency for a Safari… I have done several safaris in few countries and this is by far the best agency in terms of guide (William the most experienced one for all the parks), lodges, organization and they do the extra miles for you. Despite we traveled this August in the middle of the pandemic, they take all the necessary precaution for our safety.

Incredible experience. We visited in late August 2020 and everything was perfect:

-All the precautions are taken by the Goreshi: everything is sanitised and all the staff wear masks.

-The safari is incredible, the guide is knowledgeable and we were able to see the big 5 multiple times

It really is the experience of a lifetime and you get to do it in a luxury setup with an amazing team. The food is top notch and the lodges are luxurious to say the least.

This was our first time in Tanzania and even in Africa. So we wanted to go for Safari with the right company and right tour guide as well. After searching a bit, we was sure to do it with Gosheni and our guide should be Ombeni! After 8 days Safari experience, now we know we choose the right company and tour guide.. Ombeni made an unforgettanable memory for us, we saw African big 5 for several times and we had great photos with these wild animals.. As you see, we are crazy people who are travelling during this Covid pandemic! Ombeni and Gosheni made everything very easy for us! He sterilized all the car and reminded us to do the same.. We stayed at very nice camps, all staff and the food were amazing.. If you would like to go for Safari, do it with Gosheni and ask for Ombeni as a tour guide. The tour exceedes our expectations thanks to Obeni. He helped us for everything and we have seen all animals. He is also so carefull about pandemi. Cleaning the car everytime AMD wear mask even there is no corona issue.

In 6 days safari, Hassan found for us: 2 leopards in 2 different park, 3 cheetahs (guepards), one rhinoceros, 30 lions, 2 migration wildebeest crossing the mara river (for one of them we were all alone, without any other cars) and they were near than 1000 wildebeast(gnus). All this should be enough to convince anybody that Hassan is a very very good guide.

William is a great guide and gave us amazing safari experience! He鈥檚 very experienced, knowledgeable and patient. He鈥檚 very easy going and set the schedule based on our preferences.

With the Covid 19, he always sanitize all the luggage, handle bar in the car and remind us to use the hand sanitizer. He made us feel safe to travel in tanzania with Covid!

Gosheni also did a really good job with setting up our itinerary and communication! They helped us to fit in all what we want to do within a few days time. That鈥檚 why we picked them!

Went on two safaris in Tanzania with Gosheni and they couldn鈥檛 have been more perfect. We booked a week-long Safari in March and everything about our experience with Gosheni was outstanding. Peter put together our itinerary and was responsive and helpful in the run up to our trip. Laban was an excellent, attentive, polite and thoroughly knowledgable guide with a positive attitude and a permanent smile. Luckily for us, he had an encyclopaedic knowledge of birds and an uncanny ability to spot wildlife even while navigating the sometimes challenging park roads. With his help, we identified 80 species of birds. The area had had record levels of rain in the run up to our trip so the roads were often flooded and deep with mud but this was no problem for Laban. Our accommodation exceeded all expectations and staff were always friendly, smiling and helpful. I would highly recommend Gosheni and Laban.

Excellent Safari with Gosheni in March 2020. The company were great to deal with in advance in putting together the right itinerary. We saw everything we hoped to see on this trip and the accommodations were perfectly chosen.

The vehicle was clean and well maintained.

Laban was a fabulous guide and host, from meeting us at the airport with smile, through all our game drives and lunches. Knowledgeable, friendly, well presented, and also a bird expert! Excellent for our trip.

William is an excellent guide: attentive, professional and provides the best service

Gladys, the sales representative planned a formidable itinerary for our family, according to our requests. She took good care of every little detail, small ones as well as the big ones. She came to brief us at the hotels, in order to make sure everything is clear and to go through safety regulations.
Our safari guide, William picked us up from Kilimanjaro airport and his welcoming smile, as well as the nice picnic he organized next to our Jeep was a sign for what鈥檚 expected for us ahead.
William turned out to be very professional , patient with a profound understanding of the animals and always happy to handle any request.
The Jeep was brand new and had been washed every night and the food was above our expectations. We especially liked the picnic with the hot lunch.

Booked a safari trip for family of 5 in March 2020.
The pre booking process was very pleasant. Gladis was kind and presented us with a unique itinerary tailored to our needs with lots of useful information answered in a professional manner.
William, our tour guide picked us up from the airport with a new Land Cruiser and welcoming snacks & drinks.
William escorted us for 6 full days. He is very knowledgeable, always available and provides excellent service.
Our schedule included an authentic village tour with a local guide and a special Tanzanian lunch in a banana plantation, a fabulous 5 day safari trip with amazing views of animals in their natural habitat, including lions, cheetahs, buffalos, wild beasts, zebras and many more.
The acacia migration camp was definitely something to write home about: sleeping in spacious tents with private showers, wildlife sounds throughout the night, warm camp in the evening fire and a very hospitable staff at your service at all times, waiting to fill the bucket with hot water for your shower.
In summary I would say it was a memorable experience

My husband and I enjoyed a 9 day safari around Tanzania with Gosheni Safaris Africa with Laban as our guide, and if I could give a higher review than excellent, I would. From booking to pick up through drop off, the entire experience was higher level class. Laban has an encyclopedic knowledge of birds, animals and flora, including behaviors and habitats, which is my joy. He taught us so much about the wildlife of Tanzania, but also about the culture and people, which is very important to us when traveling. Our lunches, even in the Savannah and in the Migration, included tablecloths and wine and hot meals eaten around a portable table set up, versus boxed lunches, a memorable and very classy and appreciated touch. The tent camps were beautiful and well stocked with great food and lovely and comfortable accommodations.

My husband benefited greatly from Laban鈥檚 shared love of wildlife photography, so they were able to share tips and Laban could always find the best spots for angle and light. The photos are amazing as a result. An added benefit was Laban鈥檚 years of experience, which showed in finding the animals, knowing the routes, and having great communication and relationships with his colleagues to best share information for the benefit of all of the tourists. In general, Laban was laid back and engaging at once, able to read us immediately and figure out our pace and preferences from the outset. His driving (a vital part of the journey, as many of the roads were difficult to pass), was competent, confident and careful, allowing us to relax knowing we were in great hands.

Overall, Laban and Gosheni Safaris Africa went above and beyond to give us the most incredible experience in Tanzania. I would and will recommend them to everyone. Thank you!

Overall a great experience and really nothing to complain about. William was the best guide I ever have had! Good accomodation, food, wildlife and nature experience. We were there in the low season in the beginning of May but still a lot of animals. If you ask for William as your guide you will not get disapointed! I鈥檓 a professional photographer and he also understand the importance of light.

We had a wonderful trip with Gosheni and our guide Hassan. Hassan was very kind and made a really excelent service for us. We enjoyed the trip very well and it was a beautifull vacation for all family.We see all kind of wild animals.We can only recomended and thank you for all.
