I went on this site where they advertise Akita Puppies for sale. I put in my contact for them to give me information about the Akita puppy that they have advertised for purchase. He contacted me that evening. It was fairly late in the evening. I should have caught that was from out of the country, but I thought that he was a late owl like me. Anyway, I asked to see video and pictures of the puppy. He showed the pics, but he could not show the video. This should have been another clue, but I missed this hint too. He texted a long text about how he only want to give these puppies that he have to a good family. That is why he'll only charge 600.00 each. He kept on saying that he is LEGIT. He said that if I zelle the money then he will ship the puppy out right away. I zelle out the money, but I started to feel uneasy. I called the Denver Police to go out to the address that Dale gave me, and the police told me that the house is totally VACANT. My heart sunk. I knew for sure that I have been SCAMMED. At this time he is not calling me back or reply to any of my texts. Please be careful of buying puppy online that is too far for you to pick up. At this time, airlines are not delivering puppies, so if they said that it is safe and the puppy can be delivered. They are lying to get your money. I got this site on google, and Facebook. Do not buy on Facebook, 3 scammers on Facebook contacted me also. I will fight to get these sites taken down.

On April 7, 2020, I was interested in purchasing a puppy and located a website https://www.goodrichbreeders.com/ and decided to purchase a German Shepherd Dog puppy named Max – there were pictures of several GSD puppies and they also advertised that they breed Akita and Australian Shepherd puppies as well. Mr. Rheuben Richard (ph # 720-463-7064) was quick to respond by text and said the puppy was still available and that the shipping was free. He mentioned it was 11 weeks and 3 days old. As the puppy was only $600 and with shipping being free, I asked him how do they make money. He said because of the coronavirus, he was helping out and giving a considerable discount on the puppies. He normally charges $1200-$1500 per puppy. I decided to purchase the puppy, but this company did not accept credit card, would only do transactions through Zelle, a digital payment network used by banks. So we paid through Zelle. Once payment was confirmed, he said he would prepare the paperwork and have it ready the next day and that the puppy would also be shipped out that same day. So the next day I received the paperwork transferring ownership of the puppy to my wife (Claudia Guhit) and I. We had to sign it and scan it back to Mr. Richard. Less than an hour later, I receive an email from the shipping company, Pet For Pet Carriers, notifying me that the pet is at the airport pending his flight, however, because of the change in weather, the puppy needs to be in an electronic air conditioned travel crate and there is urgency to the matter. There were two crate options. I was going to go with the second option, which was a rental for $1150, but $1100 would be refunded once the puppy was delivered. Of course payment could only be through Zelle. My wife and I talked and we became suspicious. Twenty minutes later, I receive a call from the shipping company asking me to make a decision soon or the puppy will miss the flight. At this point, I told Mr. Edmund that I would call the breeder, Mr. Richard. Called Mr. Richard and told him we don't have the money for the shipping crate and let's wait until the weather is better, perhaps the next day or so. But he said the puppy needs to be shipped out today otherwise the puppy could get sick if we continue to wait. So we told him we don't have the money and told him no. This is how the conversation ended. However, a few minutes later he sent an email apologizing about the situation and not informing us earlier about the crate situation. He offered to add $500 to the shipping cost if we would pay the rest and to pay him back once the shipment was complete. If we don't pay for the crate rental, we risk losing the puppy in quarantine. We said no, we don't have the money. About 20 minutes later, Mr. Frank Edmund, from the shipping company, Pet For Pet Carriers (720-623-4492), calls me saying they are waiting on the crate so that they can ship the puppy. We just told him we don't have the money and he said the puppy cannot be delivered. This is how the conversation ended. I proceeded to email Mr. Richard requesting a full refund. He has not responded to my repeated emails (four) requesting a refund. So the website is https://www.goodrichbreeders.com/ and point of contact is Mr. Rheuben Richard, 720-463-7064. Purchase was made for $600 on 4/7/2020 using Zelle. Shipping was going to be on 4/8/2020 with Pet For Pet Carriers, http://petforpetcarriers.com/. POC was Frank Edmund, 720-623-4492.
