We reserved a hotel room and were charged $105 for a night's stay. The hotel gave us a receipt that said $89 for the night. We approached the company for a refund and this is what they replied:

"We apologize for the inconvenience. What you received is the vendor's receipt, unfortunately, no one but the vendor can get this rate. However, you did receive a lower rate than any other published public price. I will send this information over to our acquisitions department to get corrected with the hotel so it doesn't happen again."
False advertising I would say. And no refund…. So, do your homework and do not trust that they are the lowest price.
