First time ordering and will be cancelling. I chose 3 recipes that included chicken breasts and chicken thighs. Was sent ground chicken for all 3 recipes. I understand some ingredients may have to be substituted but how can you substitute with ground chicken. And if an ingredient was sold out, at least contact the customer informing them. And on top of it – my delivery was 2 days late.

We have not yet got a box we have paid for two weeks of boxes , and never read it, I believe this company is fraudulent!
I this is my second week and second review with no response!
My boyfriend was told he鈥檇 be reimbursed for last week and looked into then this weeks never came

I have been a Customer before COVID-19 and so far things was going ok, missing items, unsealed seasoning packages but recently you guys have delivery a very stinky 馃摝 at my home. Fresh vegetables was frozen and every had this awful send. After receiving this delivery I鈥檝e sent multiples email and also called I have gotten no response beside the same email over and over again.

I have contacted Goodfood regarding my issues through emails but I have not received a response (I will provide a followup here when Goodfood resolve my issue)
There are a few issues I have with Goodfood:
1. They would only tell you that your order could not be delivered 1 night ahead which leaves you no time to prepare
2. They did not give me a refund to my credit card when the order could not be delivered, instead they give me a store credit.
3. They did not give me a correct amount of refund as a store credit. I ordered a vegetarian meal plan with a list of food as an add on. However, only the meal plan cost is being refunded as a store credit. My list of add on food cost over $85 has never been delivered and it has never been refunded to my account.
4. There is no way for you to remove your credit card information once you enter them into your account.
5. There is no way to cancel your subscription yourself on the website. The only way to cancel your subscription is to email them. I am a software developer myself, I know how easy it is to create a button on your website allow users to cancel their subscription.

It's just so ironic that the company keeps spamming you with emails saying that they do not have enough people to keep up with the high demand, but on the other hand they could not ask ONE software developer in their team to create a little "CANCEL" button for cancelling subscription. Seriously, it only takes one developer at most one day to implement this feature and push to production. But you guys choose to ignore it and keep your employees busy with handling customers emails for something that should be automated. This is how this company ask their customers to give them understanding. You do not use this way to keep your customers. You keep your customers by giving them free choices to join you, leave you, and then let them shop around to realize that you guys are still their choice.

I have been a customer of goodfood for a few years now and overall have been satisfied minus a few glitches here and there (which I was compensated for) however the fact that they are signing up new people when they can't even get deliveries to the existing customers is outrageous. My delivery was supposed to arrive on Monday, it is now Thursday and nothing has come and I have heard nothing from good food despite my multiple emails. I was charged for the food, and now have also been charged for next weeks delivery! furthermore last delivery I also had chicken that smelled bad and had to substitute my own chicken into the recipe. If they are overwhelmed then don't sign up new people and limit what can be ordered or figure out a way to make it work but communication is important!

I have been using Good Food for quite some time now and it has been AMAZING…. until recently. The box before the one I just received was missing ingredients. I thought it wasn't a big deal since I was able to replace them with things I had in my fridge already, thankfully. They are busy, it must have been an oversight.
This past box, however, will most likely make me stop ordering from them. I am still waiting for some correspondence – they are busy and backed up I get it, the email will have to wait. BUT, this past box was a DISGRACE. It was delayed two days, again I didn't I wasn't upset they're busy I get it. When I went to cook the meals that were provided ALL OF THE FOOD WAS UNUSABLE. The meat was bad, every milk product had gone sour and the veggies, some of them, had started to rot and mold. Clear evidence that my box had been either left out of the cold temperature for days or gotten hot and then cold again.
I am still waiting for correspondence on the issue, again I know they are backed up – especially if I am not the only one receiving inedible food – but I usually receive my box on Thursdays and haven't received anything on when it might arrive. I was planning on that food to be here and now I have to guess. I have a little one and I am pregnant so I rely on this box to keep us both away from the general public right now. I am thinking of just skipping or cancelling my box and not relying on it or the disappointment.
The worst part is I started using this box so that I could have proper portions with less effort so that I was not wasting food or throwing anything out. Now I have had to throw out four meals. Garbage. All of them. A waste of money, but a HUGE waste of food. Such a sad waste, and one that could have been avoided if they had managed the transfer better. It is disappointing that they are not able to property deliver "Good Food" to people right now. Ironically. I know they are probably overwhelmed but rotten food is dangerous. I am just glad I was intuitive enough to catch it before eating it myself or feeding it to my family. That could have been deadly.
Not happy. Would not recommend right now.

I really didn鈥檛 want to have to write this but I feel I have no other choice.
I was supposed to receive a box 2 days ago. After receiving an email the day before my delivery confirming my box was to arrive on time, I didn鈥檛 receive it. What鈥檚 even more disappointing than not being notified of the delay is the customer service… yikes where do I begin.
They leave a phone number, but it directs you to a voice message and then hangs up. What鈥檚 the point of that?
They offer online chat and when the volume is too high they cut it off.
They say to email, and they don鈥檛 respond, even days after you鈥檝e sent an email.
There is no way to contact this company. You can try instagram, leaving a comment on one of their posts. Believe it or not, they鈥檙e still posting on social media, marketing their boxes, trying to get new subscriptions. Not the right approach at all, especially when all these delays are happening because of the increased volume.
Their Food is Good, but GoodFood isn鈥檛. Let鈥檚 see when or if I get this box.
Goodbye GoodFood, and HelloFresh!

I have one major criticism and the rest is 100% positive. This company does not care about it's environmental impact. They stopped picking up used boxes and creates tons of plastic garbage. They say it is recyclable in Quebec but cannot state with certainty that this is the case in Ontario. I was concerned because I like the food so much, so I called and wrote to discuss this. All other correspondence I had had with the company was 100% amazing and responsive. This time, I got stonewalled. Clearly they have not thought this through and just don't have an answer. RESPONSE TO GOOD FOOD: In response to this post, you have not provided an action plan but a "diplomatic" and wishy washy answer. The truth is that your packaging is now not picked up regularly, and the only option is to recycle a rather large amount of cardboard (some lined with foil), plastic containers, plastic wrap and dump some odd jelly from icepacks in the drain EACH WEEK. I truly believe that there must be some system of package reuse that is fully contained within your system. I'd be happy to invest in it and I bet a number of your clients would be too. Please do investigate this option. I'll even offer my time to develop a model for you. That is how much I think this is essential. Thanks for responding.

I echo what many others have said and do not recommend using this company as they make it impossible to cancel and will simply continue sending and charging you for food you never ordered. Also for a vegetarian there isn't anyway for one to swap a selection and only can go with their menu options.

The food was really good but if you need assistance, do not expect to be able to get in contact with these people! I have been trying for 5 days to let them know that they didn鈥檛 send some of the things I ordered. 2 emails with no response and multiple phone calls later, I can鈥檛 get any response. Their customer service phone number tells you that they are very busy and then hangs up on you. Unfortunately I have to cancel this. It鈥檚 too bad really.

I ordered from them for the first time about 2 weeks ago and I had paused or skipped the next 3 weeks that I was able to see; because I was unsure if it was going to be something I鈥檇 enjoy and because the next 3 weeks options didn鈥檛 look like options that I would like, the first weeks food came and it was actually really great, if my experience stopped there this would be a 5 star review. The next 2 weeks skipped as scheduled and I even got emails from the website saying that they were skipped. However I got an email saying I was charged the $90 for a meal box from my bank, and I hadn鈥檛 gotten a single email from them leading up to this or even a confirmation afterwards. I had skipped this week but yet I was still charged and it selected options for me I wouldn鈥檛 have chosen myself. It would have been nice if there was an email that gets sent out before hand letting you know to choose your meals before the deadline then I would鈥檝e known to go on and check and noticed that it 鈥渦n-skipped鈥?the week on me. I have messaged them in their live chat about this since there鈥檚 no option to cancel manually on the site? I have been waiting for someone to get back to me for close to an hour now. My chat queue keeps going down and then going away. There was one time where it went down and someone joined the chat, then they immediately sent me to another department which if I wanted another department I would鈥檝e chosen it when picking which department I wanted to get ahold of. Now my queue keeps going down to 0 and no one joins the chat, then when I send another follow up, my queue goes up around double every time as if they see my message that there was an error and that I want to cancel, and then they just skip past it not allowing me to cancel. Very sketchy behaviour from customer service clearly skipping over me just because I want to cancel due to their error. I wasn鈥檛 even asking for the charge to be refunded and the box canceled, I mentioned that I know it鈥檚 too late for that but that I wanted to cancel so that it can鈥檛 happen to me again but no one will get back to me and I can鈥檛 cancel manually. DO NOT use GoodFood since there are many more options. The 1 star is for the food actually being good. If you are someone that is 100% sure you will be getting food sent every week without skipping, and don鈥檛 plan on canceling then I would recommend for the food, but otherwise, I would go for one of the other many competitors so you don鈥檛 get stuck in the same situation as me.

I'd give zero stars if I could. Long story short, HORRIBLE customer service. The fact alone that you cannot cancel your subscription directly on the website is annoying, and thats only the beginning. Choose Hello Fresh; they have yet to disappoint me.

They say the food is fresh and local from farm to fork, no middle man. That鈥檚 complete BS! The FISH we got was from CHINA and PERU!!?? I have never been so upset and deceived by a company that claims to support local farmers. This is disgusting and dishonest!! Please beware, if the fish comes from these other countries where is the produce actually coming from as it does not say on the label. Also customer service could care less about your issues.. Goodfood is really crap food and should not be in business.

The convenience of these meals is definitely helpful for busy weekday nights. I don鈥檛 purchase more then one order a month as treat for my family to try some new recipes and still eat healthy without having to order out. Mainly taking stars away for the last delivery I had because it was delayed and I had waited for it. Then thinking maybe it had been stolen off my porch I reached out to good food and it had actually been delayed. They then told me it would be delivered the next day. I had anticipated using one of the meals that night as that was how I had menu planned for the week. The order didn鈥檛 get to me till 6pm the next night so very inconvenient time for feeding my family with a toddler. I think a better tracking system would have been helpful here so I could see it was delayed the first night and then going to be late in the day on the second night.

When I have a stressful or busy week coming up I get Goodfood delivered right to my door. I know what I'm making, how I'm making it, and that I have everything to do so. I love that Goodfood has the option to still be part of the family even if you don't order every week.
