Ordered a bottle of wine with personalised label for a 21st birthday present last year and it was brilliant. About to order another for another special occasion. No problems at all.

I ordered a personalised newspaper book on Friday morning. I paid extra for next day delivery. I was surprised and pleased to receive an e mail saying the book had been despatched early Friday afternoon so waited in all Saturday for it to arrive. I checked with APC the delivery company and they deliver up to midday on Saturday but didn't want to go out in case they had been delayed and would still arrive as they required a signature. They did not arrive. I complained to Gone Digging and suggested they should be prepared to refund the additional postage I paid. They refused. The Gone Digging website states:

Urgent Delivery 拢6.99
This will be delivered by Courier. This will be delivered next day following despatch, and will need to be signed for.

I paid 拢6.99 for this service. The order was despatched early afternoon on Friday therefore meaning delivery would be 'next day' Saturday. If one pays extra for 'next day delivery' albeit on a Saturday and the delivery company do actually deliver on a Saturday what is wrong in realistically expecting the package to be delivered NEXT DAY ie Saturday???? Gone Digging say they do not do Saturday deliveries but they had despatched the book on Friday and the delivery company do deliver Saturday. I won't be dealing with Gone Digging again. It is not a bad product and I had envisaged using this company repeatedly in the future for gifts. .I thought such speedy service appeared too good to be true and I was right. Very disappointing customer relations and very misleading. .

Very very Poor service paid extra for urgent delivery for a personalised bottle of wine 拢5.95 extra to arrive within 2 to 3 days delivery company was total, rubbish no emails no text nothing to let me know that when they were going to deliver item, And when they did come due to unforseen circumstance I had to go out, I put a note on my letter box for any deliverys to be putto my parents address which was 2 doors away from my home address, on returning home note was still in letter box which had been read so I presumed that the delivery driver had honoured my request but as I entered my house there was a card from delivery company saying sorry we missed you call xnumber for delivery…
The delivery driver obviously read the note I left but was too lazy to walk 6 metres 2 Doors down to drop item at my parents…
I called the delivery company and explained my situation to them and about the note I left, The delivery company were not understanding they were rude and were not very helpful or sympathetic, I then called gone digging explain the situation to which the gentleman on the phone was raising his voice and actually arguing with me anyway to cut a long review short after gone digging calling the delivery company in Aberdeen one I had never heard of and then calling myself back we arranged for the item to be delivered to my parents address but said they could not deliver until Monday, 3 days after the gift was suppose to arrive for someone's special birthday, Eventually 4 days later on the Tuesday the personalised bottle of wine did finally get delivered but not until the Tuesday 4 days after the persons Birthday, I phoned gone digging and complained about the service they provided and as a unsatisfied customer and that i would not recommend there company to anyone or use them again myself. After speaking to the rude gentleman on the phone from gone digging he said that he would refund the postage and packaging back into my bank account and a拢5.00 good will gesture for my inconvience and the inconvenience of the delivery company… I have all the e-mails regarding the postage and packaging refunds I was getting back and the 拢5.00 Goodwill gesture, But so far I have only received the 拢5.95 postage and not received the packaging refund or goodwill gesture refund yet,
I wont hold my breath on this, as I have e-mails with different people saying different things but will keep checking my bank account daily to see if the rest of the money that gone digging said I would received for packaging and the goodwill gesture.. I will keep you informed and post another review on the out come of this matter….
For just now until this matter is finally resolved I give gone digging ZERO STARS as im a extremely unsatisfied with the whole service and communication between gone digging and the delivery company..

I ordered a personalized birthday gift for my mother and paid for express Fedex shipping. However, they made a mistake and sent it by economy service! When I spoke to them they apologized but said nothing could be done! What?! I said they should call Fedex and request a delivery method change. Their sales person -Bellal- said that he couldn't call Fedex!! Well, I, the customer in the US found the FedEx customer service number in the UK, called them and explained the situation. They said all that was required was for the Sender to call them and request a service upgrade and they would do whatever they could. I had to call GoneDigging again and give them the FedEx number and ask them to do this. It is unacceptable that the customer, 5 time zones away, should have to spend a lot of time and make numerous overseas calls to resolve something that the sender should have corrected themselves as a matter of course. Am still awaiting the outcome of all this but so far I rate their customer service as horrible and totally unacceptable.

Never heard of this company before and only came across them after searching via google. I saw the negative reviews here and can't understand them. I have had a good service. I ordered two personalised items and both of them estimated they would take roughly a week and half to come. Ordered the Friday and one item came Wednesday and the second on Friday. So within a week they had both come and the personalised items look brilliant. I had a tiny issue with a personalised brandy bottle I ordered, I paid extra for a gold box which didn't come, after contacting them they sent the gold box which was with me next day and during this time a gentleman was calling me to check in on the status. Good customer service but they do take time answering the phones and don't always reply to emails, that's the only bad side.

6 weeks ago ordered the 80 set of 2 papers. After a nearly 2 weeks nothing. Phone they say they forgot and will send out for next day b4 1…. nothing. .. sent message to say not artived and now have missed the bday (very embarrassing ss big bday) and i want my money back for then to say we had it and give my husband name as signatory. Funny he wasn't in the country so pretty difficult before i told them this i askedfor pod which took them 4 days and they produced something that looked like my husbands initials. .. i then told them it couldnt have been him and y. Then get a story about oh sorry was a woman ur cleaner (how the driver would no it the cleaner i dont know)amd was just a name error on the signatory. Anyway customer service manager wanted to send the driver round my house… no idea why but the kept saying help him retrace himself. Why would he need to when he clearly remembered the cleaner – oh but cant give a description.

Any customer service manager sam was meant to call me back last Thursday after investigating to which he hasnt and doesnt even have the manners to respond to an email. So left no choice but to get the police fraud involved as this company seems to make a habit of taking people money and not producing the goods but this time someone has actually broken the law in pretending to be my husband.

I ordered a personalised book for my nephew which took 4 WEEKS for it to arrive.
I contacted the company by email and explained I'd been waiting 1 1/2 weeks for my delivery. This company said they would get another book sent out ASAP as they believed it had been sent to the wrong address.
I waited another 1 1/2 weeks and still nothing, not once did I receive an email to say if the book had been dispatched.
I then phoned the company and explained the situation and the person I spoke to said there was nothing to say the book was being reprinted!
I was beginning to wonder if this was a legitimate company.
Well in the end I finally received the book and also someone else's printed with a different name!
Will never use this company again as it is a complete shambles and wasted a lot of my time and energy

I ordered an engagement present from you for it to be posted next day delivery. I understand that orders take 2-3 working days but when the item wasn't received on Thursday morning (9/10/2014) I did phone your customer service number. The lady said that the item had gone to print and the item would be posted on that evening, Thursday night – so the item should of been delivered on Friday 10th October as I had paid 拢5:95 next day delivery.

I am really unhappy as I am supposed to be going to the party this evening and I am still not in possession of the personalised engagement present after your colleague gave assurances that it would be here in time. I haven't even been sent a tracking order number or notification of dispatch for the company.

The gift is of no use to me after today as I have had to go any buy another present. Therefore, due to the inconvenience, I expect a full refund of monies plus the postage money.

Their Customer Service is absolutely horrific and that includes the so called supervisor Yvette who was worse than the others. You pay 拢5.95 for express 24 hr delivery and they hide in the small print that this is only 24hr from when they can be bothered to put this in a box and send it out so that can actually mean a week. Their motto is obviously the customer is always wrong and as Christmas is approaching if you want gifts before New year do not use they are unhelpful and useless. If they could send out items as fast as they take your money they would be good.

I ordered a personalised gift for my husband. Needing it quickly, I paid for express delivery (拢5.95) but the item failed to arrive on time. I contacted customer services who responded after 48 hours (not the 24 stated) saying problems meant they were running a week late. They offered to refund the entire order but I still wanted the item. I asked if they'd refund the delivery cost but they never replied. Despite notifying me that the item had been dispatched a week later (via online tracking), it still didn't arrive for another 4 days…..the courier said he'd collected the item that morning. Nice product but not worth the hassle.

I am seriously disappointed with this company. At Christmas i brought lots of products as unusual gifts for my family abroad. One they told me was available, and even on its way. They took my money and then nothing ever arrived! Turns out it was discontinued and they never bothered to tell me, or ever refund my money!
Then recently i ordered 3 personalized books for my Grandson. They turned up fine, but there was a note inside one that said they had noticed a printing error and that this was being dealt with and replaced. I found what i thought was the error inside this same book and patiently waited for my replacement book to arrive. Nothing ever did. So, i contacted them and was given the run around for well over a month. Eventually, they informed me that the note referred to another printing error they had made and rectified (it seems they do this a lot!), and that the mistake i had discovered was not a mistake at all but i just needed to hold the book in a certain way and look at it sidewards! My grandsons name was lost between the staples of this double printed page, and apparently, i was just making a fuss. My grandson is only one and this not something o expect him to have to do ever, or me for that matter! Why in this age of desk top publishing they could not just reposition the letter that vanished between the staples i do not know, even i can do that on my Mac at home! So, i spent over a month being messed about and insulted, eventually being told I had to just deal with the fact that what i had paid for was not what i had expected to receive. I feel i have been sent an inferior product, i have been treated very badly by their staff, and totally wasted my time and money. I am completely appalled and will never ever buy a singe thing from them again, or recommend anyone else to do so. Buyer Beware!!!!!!

I initially joined trustpilot to write a poor review as I felt I had been let down badly by them.
However I have completely changed my mind.
I ordered a personalized poster for my grandson who lives in Australia and having paid for express delivery expected it to arrive in time for us leaving, to take with us. to cut a long story short ,we did not get the poster in time as gonedigging had been let down by their supplier.
They sent the poster to Australia and refunded my money.
the poster arrived today( 2 days after we arrived).
one happy grandson, not to mention grandparents.

I ordered 3 books, 2 had the incorrect street name so I had to pay again for the addresses to be correct. Was told the replacements I had paid for would arrive on the 17th, on the 16th the website still said this. The 17th came and the books didnt. I checked the site on the 18th and it now states 27th December, which means a late christmas present thanks to them.

After speaking with customer services they gave me the option of waiting or cancelling the order. They couldnt care less.

I got a personalised football book for partner and I was really impressed the quality is fantastic, it was with me by 4 to 5 days and it is well worth the money I know he will be impressed when he opens it for Christmas I have wrapped it up already as I can not stop reading it myself and I don't want him to catch me and to spoil it for him.

I ordered a personalised calender for boyfriends dad it arrived and we both was very very impressed ….

Will be ordering very soon
