I have been trying on 13 October to make a new reservation on goldcar app (for Bodrum Airport 15-18 Oct). During payment process, after putting my mastercard 3D secure code, my debit card was charged 646,25 TRY. I didn't received any confirmation of the reservation. I have been calling to the office in Spain and the speaker said, that he don't see any new my reservation and after one hour money should be back on my account. Transaction have been finally settle on my card 15 October. I have been in Goldcar office on the Airport in Bodrum twice and they said, that they don't see any new my reservation and they advice me to wrote an e-mail to customer service… Of course they said, that they will not rent me a car beacause they don't see my reservation. I wrote a claim on 16th October. It's more than one month and they didn't reply. I sent them bank confirmation, that they charged me without doing a new reservation.
My conclusion – never use they app, they can charge you, but they will not deliver you any car.

We fly to Alicante a lot as we have a holiday home there and use hire cars every time, we have used Goldcar many times and apart from mainly damaged cars they have not been to bad untill now!, Yet another dented car but on our return home they charged us 拢500 for damages that were already there luckily we filmed the car on pick up and return and the paperwork even shows the damage that they say we done!, We have our own car hire insurance but that is not the point they are scammers and we have all ready started the battle with them and put in complaints with them and the broker

I am in Lisbon an hour and a half earlier than I thought. They don't give me my rental car because I am too early, but if I take an extra insurance they will do!. So the rental cowboys always try to make money with something. Is it not with the return it is with the pic k-up. So they don't care about their customer service. I will wait. Strange, because they do not return any money if you bring the car a few hours earlier back!

Booked a car through Holiday Autos (see my review) and was allocated a car from Goldcar. When I arrived after a 20 minute wait I was booked in and showed all the relevant documents including my extra insurance that I bought before travelling. I gave my credit card to allow them to block an amount in case of damage. All was well until I returned home and found that Goldcar had taken 拢165 from my credit card. I contacted Holiday Autos but the couldn't/wouldn't help so I contacted Goldcar who said I had purchased extra insurance. They emailed me a copy of the insurance document that had no customer signature on it. This was no surprise as I had never seen it and never asked for insurance, however they would not reimburse me. DO NOT GO NEAR GOLDCAR they will steal from you and you won't get your money back. On the upside because I could show my credit card provider evidence that I already had insurance and provided correspondence with Goldcar they reimbursed me. Don't rely on that happening, choose a reputable company and pay a bit more.

Stay away! Do yourself a favor: stay away from this company. If you do not pay what they will ask you on location, you will be left with no car, and no refund for the deposit. It is a scam. If you will deal with this company, you will regret it, guaranteed.

Only purpose is to scam you into all sorts of extra payments! It is their actual business model. All tricks from the book apply: fuel charges, extra forced insurances, damages to an already scratched and dented car, extra payment for cleaning due to dog hairs etc etc. Just skip as initial price may seem attractive but you will pay more!

We had a nightmare with Car flexi due to our flight being delayed and the car being let to someone else but Goldcar were awesome. They got us a better car with no excess to pay and no hassle at all. The lady at the desk was an absolute star. Would highly recommend.

VERY CAREFUL with #GOLDCAR .. December 25th I have rented a car at the Malaga airport. Contract 12991762. I paid the "super coverage" when I picked up the car, they charged me 115.15 euros as a deposit for the gasoline. !!!!!!!!! I have been informed that if I return the car with a full deposit, they will return the whole deposit. I have returned the car with full deposit day December 28. I have asked to review it with worker of GOLDCAR.he marked on the reservation sheet that I have returned full deposit. Goldcar has returned only 68 euros of over 115!!!what happened with my 47 euros . how to call it!?! you will say .. IT IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE BEEN CHEETED BY THIS COMPANY. the same happened to us in fuerteventura, but then it was his word against ours, so this time I asked the gentleman of the GOLDCAR office to review it with me. never again GOLDCAR !!!! BE REALLY CAREFULL WITH GOLDCAR !!!

I was completely mislead by Goldcar. Many would say lied to. First the car was not at the airport so I had to wait for a bus and ride to their office. After paying in full on the internet I was charge about another $100 at pick-up. I was going to cancel and go back to the airport to rent a car from a legitimate company, but I realized I would loose the fee I paid over the internet and maybe they would not have a car available. I decided to cut my looses and take the car. Now they are trying to charge additional fees. A COMPLETE SCAM.

Got a car hired at Malaga. Car was a wreck dents all over, charged for petrol very expensive, filled up on the way back to airport and still got guarded for fuel used even though the tank was full, been in touch with the company six day ago ,not interested won't talk, do yourself a favour don't use this company, DAVID
