Was almost scammed into wiring a bank transfer for equipment

Was about to send a bank transfer for medical equipment on their website when upon looking at the name of the beneficiary for the bank transfer I noticed it was the name of the sales person that had been emailing me every day for days asking if I still planned on purchasing the equipment and when I planned on transferring the money. I thought it was odd that the transfer should be set up to him so I googled his name and found it on scam guard. it was a complaint that had been logged a little over a year ago but for a different company name selling tools rather than med equipment. I reasearched the current website and found that it had be set up shortly after the scam that had been reported was made and that even thought on Go Health Medicals website it states they have been in business since 2008 the website wad only been around for one year and 44 days. I emailed the sales guy and asked if I was willing to pay the extra cost if he would he mind doing the money transaction through escrow.com that way he would know I sent the money and I would know I would get what I was paying for or I would get my money back, He sent back an email saying basically to go and find it else where to buy. I didn't lose any money thanks to scam guard and the 2 guys that had turned in this guys name but I almost did had it not of been for that.
