P.S. I'm still waiting for an answer from them!

And one ticket on thier system marked as "Solved", but without further information given, and problem still persist.
Terrible costumer service, would not recommend for anyone else, to have any decision to buy or redeem on this, platform.
I read their claims, that "too many" requests… hire more people, it is not a rocket science…

The only reply I got told me that they are too busy taking care of the winter sales.
I was a loyal customer, even paying more for their games. A pitty that, like everything else, their service is getting worse.

GoG is mostly just a one-stop-shop for picking up new or classic games, its not a wide platform like Steam with friend integrations or events. Theyre games you buy, download, and can play without the GoG platform, so you keep these games.
It was working so well. But, now i have to take a stand and push back.
As of late, an issue has arisen from GoG about a game called 'Devotion' a game made in Taiwan, had a play on politics relating to the Chinese president. Play on politics is common in video games. From GTA to Saints Row to FarCry and even CoD.
Because of this play on politics, GoG has pulled down this game from their service in ALL REGIONS. Not just Asia, but US and EU. I am severely disappointed in GoG for censoring an ENTIRE GAME that has recived AMAZING score and review, just to keep good buddies with one country.
The controversy actually popped up in February 19,2019, when the game released. Then after a wile, the devs pulled the issue from the game… So, China, is trying to destroy this game developer 'RedCandleGames' for a mention of some political meme.
I thought GoG would be above this. Would be able to region lock at the least. Not pull the game down all across the globe from its platform.
Come on GoG, you where the last pillar. The Chinese Communist Party under TenCent owns some 48% of Epic Games. Steam is just steam. But now, you GoG? I unfortunatly will need to stop my services as i did with Blizzard. I do not wish to support or associate with bigot companies.
P.s. I stand with Hong Kong and Taiwan because of this now. When China stops sticking its fingers where they shouldnt be, ill stop doing the same.

Translation: "We do not want to lose our China market so we removed the game from our store. We do not care about gamers but money."
Nice that you do whatever to not get censored in China, even lie to us.
,
they don't care about gamers or games in general
,
But wow. They bent the knee to China and won't sell Devotion because of a president Xi Winni the Pooh Joke?
Sad to see a good firm bow down to political correctness.
I hope they change their tune.

Update 2: They now replied (after 9 days) that they requested to the payment processor to refund me, which will apparently happen only on my next credit card statement. I'm giving 2 stars again (for now) and maybe if I actually receive my money back I can give a final rating.
Update: I'm lowering the rate to 1 star because I'm still being ignored by their customer service.

Order ID: 06c25733e520
I opened a support ticket to request a refund for Cyberpunk 2077. They quickly replied asking me if I wanted a GOG Wallet refund and I said that I wanted a refund to my original payment method (credit card). Since I didn't get a response (I found it strange because the first reply was quick), I then sent the message again, but I'm still not hearing anything from them anymore.
I will happily change my rate if I can get my refund to my credit card.

The representative I interacted with took extra care to double-check and confirm details that I hadn't thought of. They were friendly, professional, and I am very grateful for their attention to detail!
,
They are quick and very custommer oriented.

anywho I bought a game on steam…didnt work. asked for a refund and they TOOK FOREVER OMG (for todays generation)..like 3 hours or whatever.
I tried GOG hoping perhaps their platform might play the game (total annihilation) it better. no such luck. same issues as steam. asked for the money back cuz ya know…famous 30 day money back guarantee. now the game was only like 5 or 6 bucks…but its really irritating me how annoying these people are. after reading around, this directx issue is clearly a thing with this game. Steam took no time with it. The run around I got from GOG was horrendous and finally I just gave up and decided some reviews, tell my friends etc etc.
They don't realize how much this stuff will cost them.
Edit: Another automated reply! Doesn't look like they read anything I wrote (in this reply or in any responses to the tickets I generated asking for a refund). Stay away from this company!
