Do not use them. They tried to rip me off for parts. When i initially spoke to go assist i was informed that an engineer would be with me in 2 working days and was told that,as I explained the fault with my oven and had given them the oven model, the engineer would bring the parts. Later that day I received another call from a company they had given the work to to arrange a date for an engineer visit, luckily they had availability on that day. The engineer arrived without the parts and left. I then received a text from go.assist saying the parts would be 拢114 and take a week to arrive. I checked online and the parts for my oven from a recommended supplier would less than 拢30. I cancelled the repair and its left me with an 拢130 engineer visit cost as the initial 拢79 fee was increased by 拢50 once the insurance i took out was also cancelled.

I have paid for the engineer and Go Assist sent me a text saying it was booked for today. I arrange to be in all day and when there is no engineer by 2pm i ring the engineer using the telephone number they provided. This is where it falls down. A nice lady tells me they haven't got it booked for today and i have to re-arrange for Monday. I hope they turn up on Monday. Not good so far…

DONOT use this company. They tell you that an engineer will arrive on a certain date and then no-one turns up. You are left to chase this up and even after complaining and being guaranteed an engineer will attend the next day: no-one turns up. Again no communication from the company.
On both occasions it appeared to me that the staff were having to say sorry a lot.

They overstate the required replacement parts then insist you buy them from them at a highly inflated price. Total ripoff.

I thought I was going to HP support to hook up my printer to my new computer. Even though I typed HP it went to GoAssist. The person didn't know what to do. After 30 minutes I finally realize this was not a HP representative, so I hung up. He was on my computer, I hope they don't hack me.

The Company promised to fix my tumble dryer door by 24 December. I phone the service provider and they we closed only opening on 6th January. I phoned Go-assist, they confirmed the 3rd party accepted the service. I told them I have spoken to the 3rd party and they are closed. The have shown available dates on the calendar but can not deliver on the dates (misleading advertising). They refused to cancel the payment but customer care will phone me. I should have reviewed the company via Trustpilot.

Absolutely disgusted with this company, do not use them. They took 拢69 for a guaranteed repair in September for my dual fuel cooker, sent an engineer who wasnt gas safe so could not touch it. Then asked for a further 拢180 telling me they would send a premium engineer who knows all about my Smeg oven, engineer arrived said he would ordr a part and we havent seen him again. Despite 8 calls waiting 30 minutes + each time on hold weve got no further, we cant get through to get a refund. Weve now gone to Smeg. This company is absoluetly atrocious, small claim going in now to try getting our money back. Rip off Britain will be contacted.

After spending 拢160 on call out, labour to detect fault and part. My machine is still faulty after one month. The engineer called to fit a part after three weeks of waiting and says he could not fit the part unless he had a kitchen fitter present to help him left out the appliance and fit it back. We were not asked to do this prior to the visit and he managed to get the washing machine out and back into the space in the first visit. Despite paying 拢109 for the call out and 拢 51.14 for a part – they are refusing to give me a refund, despite keeping a part I have paid for. Their resin is that they attempted to repair it so no refund is due.
I am reporting them to trading standards and putting in a claim to the small claims court. I am also reporting them to WATCHDOG.

Slow, terrible service, not knowledgable engineers sent out, charged 拢74 for a replacement belt on top of call out and the belts are 拢18 from AEG. Still not received belt, nor refund. Best advice is contact your brand directly. In my case AEG (Domestic and General umbrella name), far cheaper, far better and quicker and obviously knowledgable. Big lesson learnt my side. Beggars believe that I cant get a refund NOR my part. Somebody is profiteering nicely here at GoAssist who also by the way has a separate arm for insurance cover and use obviously separate local companies for fixes. Nightmare being going around in circles with them.
