I was travelling from Italy to Albania and I felt disgusted of how they treated us. We had to wait about 6 hours in line to board the ferry. Children were falling asleep in the floor, old people were fainting and the Italian staff were so rude and helpless. They were using the little power they have to justify what they were doing and make people shut up by threatening they would send them to the police. I feel sorry Albania people are still treated like that in a country they live and work and where they are supposed to have equal rights.
I paid for my ticket more than 100 Euro and that is not a cheap ride to be treated and pushed like animals. Why would you sell thousands of tickets when you don't have staff to check people in?
The ferry was super gross and the bathrooms disgusting. There was no soap, no toilet paper of course and in the worst condition you could imagine.
Try to book a flight instead. It might require a bit of planning, but it will save you a lot of time, energy and probably money.
These things need to change. I felt terrible how people were treated and pushed around for a service they are paying for.
