George's Paragon

We visited the Mt Tambourine restaurant December 2016 and found it to be well below the standard we would expect, as we frequently visit Georges restaurant at Riverside Brisbane. If I had to score Georges at Mt Tamborine's food, presentation and service out of 10, I would give it a 2. We ordered several (7) entree size dishes and overall found all the Prawn dishes, to be "on the edge" for freshness and the cold prawn dishes were almost luke warm. BBQ octopus soggy with too much oil and no tenticle char (as expected). The staff where not like the professional staff from the Riverside restaurant. There was a tallish, sandy haired waitless, maybe in her 30s or early 40s, dressed in a
blouse and skirt clearly too small for her, who behaved very unprofessionally. We asked to have certain dishes brought out first and also a replacement plate (as mine was filthy) and she acted like we were imposing on her. We noticed she could not pronounce several of the dishes on the menu, and when another customer asked for a basic cocktail (it might have been a bloody mary), she made them uncomfortable and looked bafffled at the lady and said "Oh that's not on our drinks menu, what's in it"? Then a retired professional cricket player walked in and she looked like she was trying to flirt with him infront of his wife! Oh dear! I should also note the seat we were placed in had a filthy white wall, that clearly should have been wiped down, or we should have been given different seats. Yes I am a foodie, but this place was a circus!
