I received two $500 Visa cards from my employer for a years of service anniversary reward. I was excited and put them aside as part of my emergency fund. I'm now unemployed and need that money. Imagine my surprise when I went to use them and there was no money left! I didn't think Visa cards expired. Apparently these cards did and my account balance is now 0. This is outrageous! How can they simply take the money away?

I received the gift card as a reward from a reputable company, but when I tried to use the card, no place would accept it. I don't know what you have to do to use it. Apparently the address of the company who gave it to me didn't match my address (well of course not!). It started to decrease by $4.95 per month. Finally, it expired. Down the drain went my $300 reward. I think this company may have now gone out of business – I can understand why!

Scammers/Fraud/Criminals!!!!
We got a card from my husbands work. The $$$ was not used & it expired. This is FRAUD!!! Some of these cards don't even last 6 months, some even less. I'm not giving up because this company is stealing from people. I have contacted news media & they were very interested in hearing my story so they can do a report on this. Shame on this company from stealing from innocent people. I will be also posting on every form on Social Media I can so companies will not do business with this scam/company!!! PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE GIFT CARDS FROM THEM!!!

SCAM.. SCAM… IF I could give negative stars I would. Stay away from this company. I was issued a rebate from a purchase I did. Before I used all my funds the card expired. I contacted Omni Card and they said the funds are gone. Funds just don鈥檛 disappear. They are keeping the funds. Why can鈥檛 they just issue me a new card with the remaining balance? Now I鈥檓 out of over $200

I received a $100 dollar Visa Omnicard and never used it. When I went to check the balance, it went to zero. There was an expiration date on the card (less than 2 months ago it expired!) But I had just received the card last year and didn't think a gift card could expire (especially in the state of CA). I called customer support and the agent sounded like a robot reading lines. The agent said I had to ask the person who gifted me the card for a new card. I am unable to reach the person who gifted me this card and am now out $100 which I thought was on a card that could be treated like cash. Very disappointed with this card and its customer service. I would even understand if they were upfront about fees or deduction after inactivity but to not even be able to honor replacing the card for a fee is terrible and scammy!

Scam and very bad customer service
i received a visa card as part of a competition for attending a conference about 10 months back. Little did i know that i only had 10 months to use the card.
When i called customer server, i was immediately told that they could not do anything. The agent's name was Nancy and its as if she was reading off the script. After expressing my concerns for a few minutes, she then instructed me to reach out to the company where i can received the card from. what sort of advise is that?? had this been a omnicard that i had received as a wedding or birthday gift, am i expected to reach out to my guest to give me back my money?? i asked to speak to her supervisor. I was told that he was in a meeting. i am like "ok, can he/she call me back?". Nancy then acknowledged that was possible. i dont understand why i had to be the one providing options especially since she was in customer service.

I received a call about 30 minutes later from the "supervisor", Alex. He said that EXACT same things that nancy said and that he coudnt do anything. i told him that i needed the money to buy diapers for my 1 year. i even requested them to charge me a penalty for not using the card within the required time but alteast issue a new card. sadly, no help there.

what i don't understand is that, this same has happened with other CC companies such as vanilla etc. upon calling them, they always gladly reissued a new card to me(minus a processing free of around $10). why is omni card policies different?

im in customer service myself and i am not going to let this rest. i am planning to reach out to conference organizer and asked them not to deal with omnicard anymore.

Extremely frustrating company policies. Please avoid at them at all cost!!

My daughter received a $100 Omni card at a Christmas party and only a month later it expired! She used it only 4 weeks later and like other 鈥済ift cards鈥?we鈥檝e all had $$$ has been paid to this scamming co by falsely advertising these as bulk gift cards but the $ can鈥檛 be transferred nor can the co buying them as presents and rewards get their money back. I鈥檓 in charge of Xmas presents at my large co and we will never use these and I encourage everyone dealing with watching their loved ones and employees get disappointed when they try and buy something they really wanted to spread the word! Then we can鈥檛 even replace it because Omnicard keeps it! Busting dreams!

Update to my review: After posting, I was contacted by someone from Omni Card who was able to get my reward card reloaded. I am so relieved to have that corrected. Hooray for customer service after posting a bad review! I wish it didn't have to come to that, though, and that it could have been resolved by calling the dead end numbers provided by the company.

I received an Omni Card for $300 as a rebate for buying all new Samsung appliances from Best Buy. I have been holding onto the rebate card for about 18 months and now I need it to buy Christmas gifts for my son. I pulled out my paperwork and went online to verify that I had activated the card, which I had. But, the balance says $0!!! I called the customer service number and was on hold for approximately 20 minutes while various messages solicited my business for other matters. I toughed it out only to have the end message say that the customer service number had changed. I called the new number and it rang and rang even though the website says they have 24 hour customer service support. I wouldn鈥檛 have bought those appliances if not for the rebate and now it turns out to be a complete scam. Someone has stolen my $300 and they are conveniently hiding behind bogus phone numbers. My next step will be to contact both Samsung and Best Buy so that they know that their customers are being robbed.

if i could give zero stars, I would! Like many other unhappy users, I came to find out about their ridiculous fees! This card has a 5 year anniversary gift from my company, once I wanted to use it, I lose over $200. I had to wait over 40 days to get a replacement card since the original one had expired! I had $50 left and they started charging me the $4.95 fee even though it clearly says on the card that the fee is to only be taken 5 months prior to the expiration date (mine expires 09/2018) so I called, got hung up on twice, they said the $4.95 is also charged for every month on activity which I was completely unaware of so I asked that those "terms" be e-mailed to me. The rep then said "oh yeah no never mind that was an error in the system and I am going to put a request for those funds to go back to your card but it's not a guarantee". What in the world!! Biggest scam ever! STAY AWAY

I misplaced my $100 card and just found it. It did however expire in 2017. I called to check balance only to find out there was only $15 left on the card due to them taking a fee each month. I then went to use my $15 only to find the card won't even work, even though it says it is usable. I really thought it was illegal for companies to take money from gift cards before it was 5 years old. It is quite ridiculous that this money was taken and the card can't even be used!!!

Awful service! Tried to activate the card online but kept getting rejected. Attempted to call the number few times but after 30 minutes on hold, I could not get in touch with anyone! The card is now expired and the $4.95 keeps getting deducted from the card! It's just over 1/2 it's original value and all I did is got it activated but what good is an expired card!??

DO NOT BUY THIS CARD
This card is a rip off. My boss gave me a $50 card and I have not used it. I just checked my balance and it said $30.20. You have to read the small print – they are taking $4.95 off my balance every month for "maintenance fee" !!!

By the time their website actually started working, so I could activate the card, it had already begun to lose value. Needless to say, I think very poorly of this "service".

This is a scam. I don't understand why they charge $4.95/month 5 months prior to expiration date. The employee I talked to also could not give an answer to that question. Second of all, even if the card expires, they will keep charging the fee until they empty the balance! It seems that the point of the expiration date is for you to stop using the card while they keep charging fees and empty the balance Total scam! They say on the back of the card that they do charge fees, but they also say that funds do not expire! Not sure how that can hold true if they keep charging you the fees! I have had different gift cards from other vendors and they don't charge these fees. Definitely stay away since you will only lose your money.

What a ridiculous and total waste of time. I've been dealing with GiftCardLab, IncentiveCardLab and GiftCardMall (which I guess are interchangeable) since September trying to get a $500 gift card replaced as it was stolen. The investigation took a full 90 days and the card was supposed to be replaced in November. After calling to get updates every week, being on hold for up to an hour sometimes and being bounced around between the three companies, it's now January and I still don't have a replacement card. The card was supposed to be replaced again in early December. Still not here yet. Called again today (after the issue had been escalated to management multiple times and someone was supposed to contact me. Of course they never did) and sat on for an hour. Again, I'm being told the gift card has been replaced and is on it's way. Guess I will have to wait another 15 days to see that if it came. My poor client has waited almost five months for this gift card. What a total waste of time and effort. I will never use any of these companies again, nor would I recommend that anyone else purchase a gift card through these companies. If I could give negative stars, I would.

We received an $80 gift card for completing a customer service survey. The card was clearly marked on the front that it expires 12/16. Unfortunately, on the back, in smaller letters is the caveat: five months before the expiry date the company will start charging you $4.95 per month in "maintenance fees". This amount is taken directly from the card.

When I called the company to find out why the card was no longer worth $80 I was told about this fee. When asked what it covered, the service agent could not explain. Nor would he give me the address of the company or allow me to speak to a supervisor. The company took $4.95 for five months ($24.75) directly from my card. I can't think of any reason for this at all beyond a sneaky and underhanded way for the company to make money.

In essence, this company sets you up to steal back the money on the card through the use of this sneaky "maintenance' fee. Of course, you can't do anything about it as they control the balance.

I am trying to report this on as much social media I can as scams like this should not be allowed.

I multiple $25 gift cards from incentivelabs. I have not been able to use them at multiple retail stores. Home Depot, Best Buy, Lowes, etc. They do not work at a gas station either even if you go inside and have the clerk run it for $10. I called customer service and they were very short with me and said if I can't use these it's someone else's mistake. I have never had any problem with gifts cards except for these. Its frustrating having $150 worth of gift cards I cant use at a retail location.
