Improvenet

They didn't vette the company they sent my info to. The company's card said they were licensed and bonded. Unfortunately, I didn't check their license until after I hired them. Not licensed. It will cost me more to repair what I paid them to do. Shoddy painting, destroyed ceiling fan, cracks in walls from house settling are now lumps, paint runs, missed spots, ceiling color in inconsistent, hardwood floors still have ceiling mud on them, and the owner of the company, King's Handyman Services, tried to take the ceiling and wall paint that I purchased. Would never recommend ImproveNet or King's Handyman Services.

I was very pleased and impressed with my experience with Improvenet. Chuck Welch responded promptly to my initial request for services. He listened carefully to my issues, was very thorough in his troubleshooting and assessment process, and provided helpful solutions at reasonable / competitive prices. His associate, Chris, was also very efficient, polite, professional and helpful. Chuck Welch resolved all of my urgent electrical needs, fulfilled my "wishlist" and provided options to meet my future needs. He was honest about resolution options and did not try to gouge me (as others have in the past) and guaranteed his work for a year. I would definitely recommend Chas Enterprises as an honest and reliable electrical contractor.

Very unrealistic and deceiving hvac installation costs provided to the consumer. Not reality in the least. Lead pumping baitsters giving the consumer a delusional view of actual costs resulting in price gouging and extortion based financing. Do not use their internet posted job costs. Ask a reputable hvac contractor.

Total scam! I didn't receive a single quote, or a response of any kind from either a service company or Improvenet (beyond the initial signup acknowledgement). Like others on this site, I now suspect Improvenet is nothing more than a scam to harvest your contact info to sell to others.

They sell your email address for spam!!! I have my custom domain and registered with a specific email address that I only used once and now I'm getting tons of spam from other completely unrelated companies. Shame on them!!

I submitted details asking for quotes. I was told I would receive quotes within 24 hours.. instead, I received NOTHING and upon calling them at their toll free number I was told, "We were unable to match you with any contractors."

They Kept me waiting without informing me they couldn't find anyone after promising me results.
It's been my experience that when I make an agreement and then cannot keep it, it serves me and the person I made an agreement with, to inform them I cannot keep my commitment.

Bad service. Wasted a day of my life.

I needed a kitchen remodel and within 24 hours of submitting my request I had a contractor, and honest one, hired from this site. He finished on time and on budget. I definitely will use this site for my next project.

Easy to use and contractors call you in seconds. Their website also has valuable home improvement information related to different projects and the costs.

We put our information in the system because we were looking for a reliable person to build a deck. They gave our information out to a criminal who stole 5000 dollars from us. After the fact we found that he has multiple judgments against him for construction fraud. He goes to people's homes, takes their money and never goes back to do the work!! Do NOT use improvenet.com

I was still online on the website when my phone rang鈥 was inquiring about some flooring in the house鈥 could barely get a word in edge wise after I mentioned I had shopped at Lowes, immediate downplayed Lowes quality and costs. Until he asked for square footage of price I was looking, I quoted the price Lowes had just given me, it was like talking to a used car salesman on meth..Really didn't like immediate phone calls, I am not one to openly give out my phone, and luckily the one I give out to companies like this is a spare. Don't like Improvenet. o sir, not at all, kids scary.

I tried Improvenet hoping to get a quick quote on a room I need painted. I wasn't happy that I had to supply so much personal information (name, address, phone number), but I did. The site then directed me to my matches which was one professional painting service in my area.

While I was googling this company, let's call it Great Painters, I got a phone call from 'Glen'. He yelled my first name into the phone and I asked him if he was with Great Painters. Yeah, sure, is his reply and instantly bells went off. He said he'd be by on Friday and hung up without ever asking me my address. I called Great Painters and lo and behold, they don't have a Glen working for them, nor did I have an appointment on file.

I then contacted the company to tell them how dangerous it was for them to be giving out people's personal information to any Tom, Duck or (in this case) Glen. I received a non-apology apology without any recognition of the danger they just put me and my family in.

Live and learn and don't use this site no matter how quickly you want a quote.

I came across this site when I was trying to figure out how much to pay for a new roof. Not only did the site give me really useful information, but I then was able to use it to find a great local roofer who got the job done below budget. I will definitely be using Improvenet again!
