Through many years of shopping at Carmakoma, I can only give them my warmest recommendations. Nice fashionabel products, super customerservice, fast delivery in DK and great opportunities for returning and that sorts – ohh and always very pleasant to communicate with.

I have bought many products from Carmakoma.com, and I generally like them. I have had two occasions where quality was an issue, but the company promptly and cheerfully replaced the items.

HOWEVER if you must return merchandise, it's at your expense and it's horrendously costly to ship or mail to Denmark from the USA.

In January I needed to return 3 pieces of clothing valued at $150.00. The cheapest method was $37.00 using the US Post (UPS quoted me more than double that price).

In March the package was returned to me. According to the return labels marking the package, it arrived at the Danish Post in February but was never picked up by the business, so it was returned to me.

I contacted Carmakoma by email, explaining that the package had arrived in Denmark but the Danish Post claimed it had never been picked up by them. Carmakoma expressed surprise, and suggested that I contact the carrier.

I contacted the Danish Post, who couldn't confirm whether the business had failed to pick up the package, or if the Post had failed to deliver the notification to Carmakoma.

Moral of the story: neither Carmakoma.com nor Danish Post accepted responsibility for the situation.

Through no fault of my own, I am $187.00 out-of-pocket ($37.00 for postage, and $150.00 of merchandise that was never received and therefore impossible to refund).

And I am stuck with 3 items of new clothing that I can't use.

For this reason I would not recommend buying from this site.

I would suggest that Carmakoma.com offer a more economical and reliable solution for returns (prepaid return labels?) for its US customers.

UPDATE:

Within a day or two, a company representative contacted me about my review. She was very nice, and sincerely interested in finding a satisfactory solution. She put me in touch with another representative who also was genuinely interested in solving the problem, and proposed refunding the price of the clothing. I said I would be happy to modify my review once the situation was put right.

I did indeed receive a refund but it was partial, not for the total amount of the clothing. I wrote an email asking about it but I haven't received a reply yet.

My impression is that Carmakoma is a small company and its staff is probably busily multi-tasking (I know that they have just introduced a new website, and are preparing for the introduction of the A/W line), so the partial refund and lack of response may well be due to human error and oversight.

If there is any other info, I will keep Site Jabber posted.

My first shopping with CARMAKOMA. I made an order in Poland on Monday, Wednesday wonderful suit (Flowerbomb and Flowerwood) I had in my hands. When I wore a suit, I felt like a queen. I feel in your clothes stylish, elegant and sophistically. For the first time in ten years I do not think about the weight loss. I am big and that's fine. Thanks to you, the team CARMAKOMA.

I discovered the Carmakoma website when I started reading fashion blogs, where the the clothes were often shown. I was curious to find out more and discovered I could buy a whole new wardrobe of fashionable and flattering clothes here! My first purchase was the cobalt blue Alma dress, for which I received many compliments. Since then I purchased several items, all very unique and unlike anything I've seen on the UK highstreet. I'm looking forward to purchasing some of the lovely Autumn Winter collection. The service is good and items always arrive well packaged.The only downside for me is the high postage costs, so it's nice to see a special offer on that from time to time, which would encourage me to buy more.

I have bought a lot – and by that I mean 27 pieces – from Carmakoma, skirts, jackets, dresses and sweaters and I absolutely love every piece.

The only negative thing I have to say is that sometimes the clothes are not "true to sizes".

Carmakoma's clothing is gorgeous, well made and seriously fashion forward. Plus size clothing can be so depressing for larger women under 50 but Carmakoma provide such an awesome and edgy range of stuff that I feel that regular sized women are missing out!

I love Carmakoma. It is almost impossible to find well-made, fashion forward, wearable items of clothing for people over size 10. I ordered two amazing pieces from Carmakoma that are my go-to staples when I want to look fantastic. And every time I wear them, I get a great complement. Carmakoma makes me feel sexy and edgy; everything about them, the website, the (INTERNATIONAL!) shipping, it is all just an amazing pleasure. I eagerly open their email blasts to see what's new. They may make me go bankrupt, but sometimes I think it may be worth it.

I am so happy CARMAKOMA exists! As a fashion-minded, plus-sized young woman, it's tremendously difficult to find youthful, stylish clothes that will fit my curves. Carmakoma makes beautiful clothes with great style and high quality. However, the clothes are on the pricey end, especially when you factor in shipping to the States, which is usually over $20 USD. The cost of return shipping is so high that it's honestly not worth returning anything that doesn't fit correctly. If Carmakoma offered free shipping/returns promotions like ASOS, I would probably buy 3-4 times the amount of clothes, because I'm always happy with my purchases!

You got style, your webpage is represents you, your clothes are affordable. Espacially your sale is awesome! I ordered from Germany and the shipping was very quick.
I cant tell anything negative.
