CarHIDKits.com is awesome. The reviews i see here are just from a few bad (customers) apples. They whine about everything like shipping time. Yeah, go to Amazon and get expedited shipping for $50 or pay $12 a month to Amazon so when you order something it's a 2 day shipping, but why would I want to give Amazon $12 a month for nothing? Throwing away money. CarHIDKits ships for free and ordered 3 times from them and got my orders within 2 or 3 days. People are whiners til the bitter end.

FAKE COUNTERFEIT PRODUCT BALLAST EENT OUT IN 2 FKG DAYS, REQUESTED FOR REPLACEMENT, TOOK 10 DAYS TO GET REPLACEMENT AGAIN NEW REPLACED BALLAST WENT OUT THEY SAID I NEED TO FOR FOR THE $10 SHIPPING. DO NOT BUT THIS PIECE OF CRAP.

This is a company ran by a person named "Farnam" that emails and claims to be James to hide his identity. I believe there is 1 or max 2 individuals running this company. They don't usually answer their phone calls or reply to emails in appropriate time frame. I warn you they say they work 7 days a week this is not true. Sunday and god knows how long all day Saturday take your money and nobody answering emails or the phone. Their products are cheap and considered KNOCK OFFS made in China

I placed an order online on Saturday and called them Monday morning (this was April 23rd). I had paid for expedited shipping since I was in a major rush to receive the part. I was told by Manuel that the order had been processed and would ship that same day. I also asked if they could email me the tracking number, which they did. I figured (not counting the date of shipment) that I would receive it on Wednesday. I received the tracking number and was tracking it Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, by which time I was furious since there was no history. I then called the post office and gave them the tracking. The postal agent was very helpful and told me that her system showed that a label was created. The package was not shipped (so it was never given to the postman). I was livid and sent an email and called them on Thursday, however, I had to leave a voice message since no one picked up! Well late Thursday night someone called me and instead of apologizing he started in on me. I asked him that the decent thing to do is to at least refund me the shipping charges since I did not receive the package in the time they promised. I work in retail to so I know that we always refund the shipping if a customer complains. It is more important to keep a customer satisfied so they come back to shop and buy again! Well this jerk did not want to listen and hung up on me. I tried calling back and I got a message saying that my number was blocked and would not be picked up. What a way to keep customers happy!!
My advice to anyone who shops there, read all the reviews and decide for yourself if it is worth shopping with CarHIDKits.com or go elsewhere. I did not do this so I paid (the extra $19.98 for expedited shipping that came the normal way)!
PS: I went on Amazon on Wednesday and found the part and I ordered it with expedited shipping (at $3.99 extra) and received it on Thursday (while the CarHIDKits.com order came on Friday).

I bought 2 ballasts and 2 HID lights from them. The lights failed after a few years and I reached back out to them to give me a discount when ordering new lights. They completely refused to give a discount on a new set of lights even after I had already invested over $200 with them.

December I bought a set of HID lights for a 2012 Volkswagen CC what I received in the mail is nothing short of garbage missing parts among other parts don't work for my car. I have 27 emails back and forth and still no resolution. All David says is I'll send another kit and never does. All my wiring melted cause of the missing parts that were ordered but never included with original kit, paid extra for harnesses that weren't in original kit as well. David says he will ship and never did. Garbage, Garbage, Garbage. Don't trust the fake good reviews trust mine. Thank you!!!

The other reviewers must have been unlucky. I ordered a new ballast and two new hid bulbs for my daughter's Prius. I received them very quickly (I used expedited shipping), they work great, and best of all, we saved hundreds of dollars versus Toyota prices.

I have been dealing with this company and their bad service for over 2 months. I received the wrong part first of all…..then I had to pay a re-stock fee when I sent back..and it was not my or my mechanic's fault. I then paid for another part for same car only to receive only partial shipment. I then receive the rest of what they "forgot" and now it does not work as per the installation instructions given.
I cannot speak with anyone…..just a round and round automated recording thanking for calling and press the button to speak with someone…..yeah right….liars!!!!! Sent e-mail…..ignored……..
These people/company are thieves….save yourselves the stress…find what you need somewhere else (make sure it is not a "cousin company" to this one).

The worst customer service ever! They sent out headlights when I ordered fog lights. I returned the headlights and they sent me one fog light. Customer service said they were taking care of my by reimbursing me my shipping. If they sent out the right part the first time, there would have been no issue to begin with. The customer service rep was extremely rude and short. Two interactions, bad results both times. There are way too many reputable companies to buy from. DONT BUY FROM HIDxenonheadlights.com

Ordered a kit with extra bulbs for my 2004 dodge ram, price was decent and shipped fairly quickly, had kit installed by dealer mechanic and they worked for one day, when i took it back to him for what i thought was a installation problem, he informed me that the problem was in the smart relay(code cancellor) so i went back to website, tried live chat, sent emails, and tried calling both canadian and american customer service numbers with nothing! If you order from these people GOOD LUCK if you have a problem, they got me, shame on them, if they get you, SHAME on you

Don't let the fancy website fool you – this is a two-bit, fly-by-night, one man operation. There is no customer service aside from a lazy email reply or the useless voicemail box. All the products come from CANADA, so be prepared for an extensive ship time and an unlike chance you will want to ship any defective product back.
I purchased the kit at 3 times the amount you would find on Ebay, expecting a better quality product, but au contraire! One ballast flickered the light, and so I promptly sent an email (because you cannot call) describing my problem and requesting an exchange of the ballast. The idiot suggested I follow a troubleshooting guide (which did not describe my problem), and then suggested I take the car to a mechanic (I am a former electronic diagnosis automotive tech) to "look at my setup". What? The set up is this: plug it in. Anyway, after 3 weeks of emails back and forth, the idiot finally agrees to ship a ballast (still hasn't arrived), but only after offering to ship 2 bulbs (what?). The idiot must be psychic, because a week later one of the bulbs explodes. So far I spent $120 and have one malfunctioning light.
BUYER BEWARE! This one-man show is a scam by some north-of-the-border frostback. But shame on me for not having found this review website earlier.

This site is a complete ripoff. Bought low beam and foglight hids for my 2011 f150. Tey send me an email 6 times saying they have an open boxed item i could get cheap so i finally called to shut them up and the "expert" tells me that i need a voltage refulator to makethese things work. Another 120$
My passenger lowbeam light works 1/4 ofthe time and wont turn on the rest. The idiots know nothing and when i call for replacement they tell me the polarity is reversed and its my error. Clearly its not beause the light SOMETIMES WORKS. Tey sell absolute junk. Trying to return the damaged part they told me i have to put my old lights back in amd send them everything an when they receive it theyll send me new stuff. Whatever you do DO NOT BUY FROM THESE IDIOTS

I ordered the the hid kit. Their website reads 4-8 days shipping. It took 1 month, a call to pay pal and a call to my credit card company AND THE BULBS PUT OFF A YELLOW LIGHT. WHAT THE HELL. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE! No, they won't fix the problem.

BUYER BEWARE! I ordered an H13 conversion kit for my 2005 F150 through this site because they had alot of information on their bulbs and seemed to be a reputable quality kit. Plus, the price was not the cheapest, and not the most expensive, so I figured it was a great deal for the price. Well, the kit was easy to install and I was happy with the results, for about 1 WEEK. I emailed the support team and explained 1 of my bulbs burned out and needed a replacement. They asked me to follow troubleshooting steps from the kit (no troubleshooting steps were included), and if issue is not resolved to take it to a mechanic (at my own expense). I detailed the steps I had taken to determine issue was the bulb and not wiring or anything else, and they reluctantly sent me replacement bulbs after 3 emails. The replacement bulbs were 6000k like the originals, BUT THE COLOR WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT and the replacement bulbs did not have the high beam wire. I was completely fed up by now, I sent them yet another email, and again was questioned and was not helped. I gave up and am using the replacement bulbs with no high beams, with an uglier blue color than I had ordered. Way too many issues with this site, I would gladly pay the 300 bucks to get a real quality product with zero issues. You pay for what you get! I would not recommend this site to anyone.

Buyer beware. Their return policies are shady, to say the least. You are referred to thier "customer service" department for a return authorization and they refuse to issue one–they are "recently forced" to change their return policy. Really? I can't return an un-opened package the day after reciept? Their website does not claim that all sales are final only that "they reserve the right to refuse a return" — well they will refuse a return, you bet your hard earned dollar.

We purchased a HID kit for my son's 2000 Cherokee XJ. The kit consisted of 2 bulbs, 2 slim ballasts and one relay. We followed the installation instructions to the tee. Only one of the original bulbs worked in low beam and high beam. Carhidkits.com sent a replacement bulb for the non-working original. This replacement bulb worked in low beam but not in high beam. We contacted carhidkits.com again to get another replacement bulb. This time we had to pay shipping for a replacement of the replacement of the original bulb. The replacement bulb this time worked. With all working correctly, I ordered two backup bulbs and one backup ballast in case something quit working. Three months later and one of the bulbs quit working. No problem since we had two backup bulbs right? Well neither one of the backup bulbs works. Carhidkits.com will not return our money, nor will they replace the parts. Carhidkits.com wants us to completely uninstall the kit, box everything up, pay to ship to them so they can perform their own tests.
DO NOT BUY from this group. REPEAT, DO NOT BUY from carhidkits.com

I ordered a HID replacement for my SCION. I told about the kit my car had, and they said don't worry we'll send you the correct item. They sure had pushy sales people. Once the item arrived (late, btw) it was a totally different thing than I had in my Scion, even though I told them exactly what was in my car. Needless to say, their customer service was a joke. When I told them about my problem, they basically said "so what?" I asked why they claim the item is made in Germany when they had put a German sticker over the "Made in China" sticker. No answer. Google their address: 500 E grant st, #1811, Minneapolis, MN. THEY DO BUSINESS OUT OF A LUXURY CONDO. Yea, I bet they can afford that when all they do is scam people out of their hard earned money. I opened a dispute with my credit card company to deal with the horrible service I received from CARHIDKITS.COM. STAY FAR AWAY!

BUYER BEWARE! If you are looking for HID's, do not buy from this website. I bought 3 sets (1 for a VW Jetta, Chevy P/U and a BMW). The one for the truck did not work, the one for the BMW you had to make major modifications to the back of the headlight. The set for my Jetta did not work as well. I tried to return for a credit to no avail. The customer service rep told me my best bet was to sell them on Ebay… are you kidding me. My CC company had no luck trying to get me a refund. Like I sai before BUYER BEWARE. This company can sink for all I care.

I've placed a total of three orders beginning May 6. Prices have been good and service is excellent. In-stock items have been shipped quickly, and company sends updates on the progress of items whose shipment is delayed due to special order. This excellent experience helped reverse the negative opinion I'd developed from a recent experience with another online retailer. I'm continuing to buy from this company and other vendors in their network because of these consistent positive experiences. I've also recommended this site to couple of my buddies too, and they are also very satisfied.

Its a rip-off. They sell "kits" that replace EVERY incandescent bulb that lights up when you open the door with LED, VIN specific. 2009 RAV4, $69.95 + ship for 2 wedge bulbs (map lights) and 6 44mm festoon bulbs. Well, so much for VIN specific! There is only ONE festoon bulb in the car (dome ligtht), and its 32mm. Why 6 bulbs? They don't know. There is NO chart with all the bulbs. Hmmm… Putco has a great one! Returns, knowing everything is screwed up… 25% restocking fee, or they will fix the problem. "Sell me the 2 wedge map light bulbs and 1 32mm bestoon." "ALL KITS ARE THE SAME PRICE, WHETHER IS HAS 3 BULBS OR 12 BULBS! WE DO NOT STATE/LIST THE NUMBER OF BULBS IN A SPECIFIC KIT!" I have yet to get an invoice # or part #s of the bulbs, name of the manufacturer, country of origin. For all I know… China, Taiwan, India, Mexico, SOMILIA, Haiti, France.
Recommendation? DON'T BUY! Them FIRST, YOU LAST!

I bought a hid kit for my F150. I ordered it monday got it Thrusday. Now thats fast shipping. It has worked like a charm. Their sales staff is very knowledgeable about the parts unlike other sellers i called.
