Shocking experience – dreadful customer service.
Purchased furniture June 2015, not delivered until October 2015.
Every item of furniture was damaged.
Customer service agreed to send replacement order.
Delivery was expected before Xmas, then advised early Jan.
Finally, in Feb 2016 they admitted there was no replacement order as they were going out of business.
Wouldn't give refund until furniture collected. Took day off work to be there for collection… No collection.
After a lot of hassle, the local store collected furniture.
Then had to go to store for refund… even that was hassle and done with ill-grace.
Good riddance to Cargo.
Recommend avoid Bensons and Harveys too as they are all part of the same group!

We ordered a sofa from Cargo – it was delayed week after week and we were fobbed off with excuses each time we chased. It got to the point where we decided to cut our losses and cancel the order, at which point the staff decided to invent delivery penalties and cancellation fees, something that luckily doesn't appear in the contract we'd signed, and we were eventually 'allowed' to cancel it. Now waiting for a full refund, which will no doubt also require chasing. Each person I dealt with was rude and unhelpful. All in all, a despicable company. Avoid like the plague.

Where do I begin?

After waiting weeks for a corner sofa, we were contacted twice with delivery dates, with the sofa not showing up either times. No one in the customer service could help us and after the sixth or seventh call we were told that they had two right hand side section that were the same and our order would be delayed while they find the corresponding left and right sections. They would not prioritise a special delivery for us because 'it would cost more than the value of the sofa'.

A week later the sofa was finally delivered with guess what? two right hand sections that are the same!! after calling up every day for two weeks, empty promises and we are nowhere nearer resolving this and the general attitude seems top be 'you can always cancel your order'!!

An utter con – 15 weeks after placing an order for sofas & paying for them – can not be advised when / if sofas will be delivered. Cargo have breeched contract – no comment from customer services (clueless) now instructing lawyers for refund & costs. What a ridiculous business – look at Facebook to see how many people have been affected.
