Chase

We have always paid our bill on time. We got a letter from Chase saying they were raising our interest rate in order to increase their profitability. We complained and they didn't care. Then this year (2021) when the mail service was having problems and mail was being delivered late. They charged us a late payment fee. We got our bill two days before it was due, we paid it as soon as we got it. They show they got the payment one day after it was due. So they charged us $28.00 for a late fee. All the other banks and credit card companies we deal with sent a letter saying because of the mail delays they would waive late fees. Chase sent out a notice that they were raising their late fees to $40.00. They are only interested in how they can get your money. Do not use them for anything! Maintain your profitability, avoid Chase at all costs!

Well done guys! Their online service is fast enough and I don't have any issues with my monthly withdrawals from MintonBlock digital assets investment plan. Seamless and recommended.

I had The worst experience I have ever heard with any banks. Chase is not loyal to the customers. On the other they will illegally freeze your account and then give the money in your account to a third-party without your consent that was the worst I ever had and then I found out what they was illegal. They don't care about the consumers that's why I would never ever used their services

Chase Bank doesn't care about their customers during the pandemic! Debit cards still have to be swiped inside stores a minimum number of times per month AND THEY DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE HIGH RISK and can't go inside stores. Floridians aren't all masking up so you either need to risk your life or pay them the monthly checking fees. They just want your money and don't really care about their customers. Before Covid I had no complaints with them. They have kept the branch and ATM close to home closed most of this year and they don't count ATM transactions as a debit card swipe. I wish they could be more human and make more ethical decisions with modifications during the pandemic. Haven't we all had to adapt? Chase has only for themselves and are greedy! They said I could avoid fees by putting $5000 in the basic checking account though.

I am a retired employee of Chase, I receive a monthly pension from Chase, I have an 820+ credit score, and I am a Sapphire reserve credit card holder. Recently opened (online) Chase Premier Plus Checking. The following day I received a notification that this new account was closed and my online access was locked. Telephoned and was told my account was closed and Chase did not want me as a client and all my accounts would be closed. I asked why this would be and was told…"we don't have to provide a reason… Chase does not want your business." Needless to say I was shocked but not surprised since increasingly their service quality has significantly deteriorated… they constantly send me messages about increasing my credit line along with special offers for "valued clients" all obviously a joke.

My husband deposited a large sum of money in a Chase ATM. He deposited cash and the ATM gave him an error message and did not reflect the deposit. He called the Chase claims department and they told us would get our deposit in 12 hours. After 12 hours we saw no deposit. So I called back. I was told that we would have to wait up to 2 business days. I called back again, and I was told we have to wait 10 business days… My family can't wait that long. We have bills, we have rent, we need food. 10 days is ridiculous! I asked to speak to a manager. After waiting in hold for an hour the manager, coldly, told me there was nothing she could do for us, and we have to wait. I asked to speak to someone higher. She refused to escalate my call. We have 4 accounts with Chase. We make regular deposits. After this error we will be switching to another bank. My family has to suffer because of Chases mistake. I used to recommend Chase to friends, family, and anyone who would listen. NEVER AGAIN!

So after screwed up money transfer (I called them ahead to and transferred money to my own another account), after blocking the credit card for uber leaving me stranded… They just really are dedicated to destroy its customer – I can't use the named credit card for uber – so I used my debit card… Hurray was short lived – only few days. Chase blocked the uber payment of 19$, send txt msg – which I instantly answered – that yes I am paying uber the 19$.
Chase regardless… blocked the payment reliable on the ground of "fraud suspicion" 鈥?br />

Really regretting being unfortunate customer. Counting days i can close everything and open elsewhere

In 2019, I moved my mortgage and all my banking to Chase. In 2020, when the rates dropped, I reached out to Chase for a refinance to lower my rates as I would save a full percentage point.

At first, the refi agent was responsive and pleasant. Then she stopped communicating, sometimes for days, all during the crucial period of trying to lock in the rates before they changed. When I escalated, I learned she went on vacation, even though she said she was going to call me back that day.

Her manager got me another agent who was very responsive and got things on track (this required me providing a quote from another lender as Chase's rate and fees were much higher). Chase, for the most part, matched the other lender's offer and the rate was locked in. All good, right?

Not so fast. As we neared the finish line, their third-party assessor dropped a bombshell that my house was not worth what Chase's initial assessment indicated (or what ANY online site indicated–Zillow, Redfin, etc). In fact, the assessment came in at over $20k less. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my home. In fact, I live in a great neighborhood, have all the mechanicals, windows, roof, exterior and interior has been updated in the last 3-5 years.

Even though my tax assessment jumped 15k since 2019.

Even though the third party's assessment included a comparable home (that was smaller with fewer amenities) which just got on the market days earlier for over $30k more than what third-party assessor said my home was worth.

Even though the assessor admitted that they don't include basement bedrooms even if they meet bedroom codes in GA (ie meaning one less bedroom in value).

Even though my agent said he was shocked, Chase refused to acknowledge how blatantly conservative their third-party assessor was being.

And, to top it all off, the assessment caused the rate and PMI to go higher, meaning a refi would not save me hundreds. Instead, it would save me a whopping $60/mo.

Since the cost of refi would jack my loan amount, I had to back away. And, of course, Chase is going to keep that $500 lock-in rate… Yup…

I guess $500 is a small price to pay for learning how Chase treats their customers. I'm now working to migrate all of my accounts to another lender as soon as possible.

I stopped using my Chase Credit cards for 4 main reasons. (1) You can no longer get statements from them through BillPay. (2) They provided a 12 month 0% transfer offer, but after accepting, they made 1st months payment equal 90% of the transfer amount. Basically, I paid a transfer fee and had to pay the total transferred to avoid interest. (3) No matter how many times I've asked, they will not stop sending me junk email. The emails contain NO opt-out links and going to the site and un-checking all marketing options does not work. (4) Their Fees for transfer are much higher than most any other card. They have gone from a 5 star Card provider to a one star in about 3-4 years. I recommend Discover or AMEX rather than Chase for Credit Cards.

The JPMC Complaints against James G. Dwyer, Somasundra B. Rao, Siddarth Dagar, Maria Castro Vainer, Anand Joglekar, Xiao Xiao, Elizabeth J. Naylor, Ana Cabrera-Vargas, Tara Williams, in part, set forth the following:
Was criticized in a performance review for an email he sent out internally to members of his group expressing a concern that a senior Director had altered a consultant's findings regarding a Regulatory initiative project("The Simple Model Project")
Contacted OCC in writing to express concerns regarding JPM's regulatory defalcations;
路 An OCC regulator reviewed the information and informed that his concerns were reasonable;

路 included in the meeting invite for his Mid-Year Performance Review that he had communicated JPM defalcations to OCC regulators;
路 On October 28,2016, filed Complaint #124437763 alleging that JPM was obfuscating or withholding relevant material mandated by regulatory requirements. The Complaint also included allegations of lack of change control procedures in MGG;
路 In November 2016, Tara Williams received a copy of 's OCC complaint;
路 On January 3,2017, emailed another complaint to OCC alleging that JPM was violating the bank's prior consent order by ignoring policies in at least one line of business;

Unsatisfactory progress on an initiative was later disavowed by the Director, who acknowledged later that the person who conducted the QA was too junior to be qualified to conduct the test, and that the departments high rate was due to the external storage of data and that there were no data deficiencies;
路 On February 25,2017 filed Complaint #125038673 alleging that regulatory process(SR 11/7) was being deliberately mismanaged to cause models to fail the process due to misconduct by supervisor, Sid Dagar. The two models included in the complaint were HedgeFRST(31600), Model Owner Marie Vainer, and Highbridge Delta, model owner Nakul Shankar;

Mr., a Decorated Naval Officer, Wounded on Active Duty,
Was Retaliated Against for Requesting an Accommodation for his Injuries
Lieutenant is a United States Naval Officer who was seriously wounded while on active duty and underwent multiple spinal surgeries. As a direct result of his injuries, Mr. Is on the veteran's permanent disability retirement list with a 30% rating.
When Mr. Applied with JPM, he informed JPM that he was a protected veteran who required accommodations for his spinal disabilities. Among the accommodations needed by Mr., was a specially designed desk chair with custom settings to avoid pain, imbalance and falling hazards. Despite the foregoing, Mr.'s chair was routinely misappropriated by co-workers, specifically Xiao Xiao and Anand Joglekar. Marie Castro Vanier acknowledged knowledge of this activity during a recorded phone conversation.
Stacey Friedman
Tara Williams

When Mr. Complained to his supervisor and Employee Relations that he needed an accommodation that would prevent the taking of his specially calibrated chair, he was ignored. In response, Mr., contacted Managing Director of Military Affairs, Ross Brown, to request that he intercede on Mr. 's behalf. In Mr.' next performance evaluation he was criticized, and given a lower performance rating, for having allegedly made the accommodation request "improperly". Confirmed by a voice print with Elizabeth J. Naylor present in meeting with James G. Dwyer and Somasundra B. Rao. The foregoing actions constitute discrimination on the basis of disability in violation of the ADA and New York's anti-disability discrimination laws.

I am still waiting for my nip, it has been three months since I had my debit card renewed and worse blocked. I have called many times about this problem but they never have given me a solution. I live in Mexico and the mail here are very slow worse now with Covid 19. I asked them to send by UPS as they did with the card but they told me they could not do that. I try do download the app and I couldn't do it either. I have been a client for a very long time. I can't take out any cash because of this situation. I told them that I need to pay my rent between other things and nothing. It's the worse bank I have ever known. Until now I haven't received my nip. The last time I called they asked several questions, the last question was about my husband's car license plate. It has been 24 years since my husband passed away and I sold the car. I am 86 years old and blind. So sad they can't help me with this. In Mexico I am not allowed to go out at all right now. The only I have received it's my bank statement of last month but not my nip. It's really sad that nobody can help me. Some neighbors are helping me with food but just imagine to be unable to use my own money because of some stupid people from the bank.

on may 16th i purchased over the internet using my card which i spoke over the phone to buy 10 4 ft tall landscaping lights with a fake flame illusion inside the bulbs… they are very popular.
i DO NOT WANT MY CARD CANCELLED…. LETS SAY AGAIN…. I DO NOT WANT CARD CANCELLED…I use to auto pay 21 expenses in life and there is no need to cancel the card…… AGAIN NO NEED TO CANCEL THE CARD…..
this seller states they are an american company out of pennsylvania…… one state from me…. they are not… they are in china
the item they mailed me is a small box of 5 inches by 5 inches of lights that you can buy at any 99 cent store…. they do not have an flame effect…and are
4 inches tall not 4 feet tall….. so i would say it was a different item…… completely different making this fraud…. meaning I WAS RIPPED OFF..
so i call chase and explain ….in english what happened…. they say they need to mail me forms to fill out that i would get a temporary credit on my card….
BOTH THINGS WERE A LIE… no letter got mailed out….no credit on my card
so i call again….have to start from scratch….one hour on the phone and they say…. they are sending me forms to fill out….
ANOTHER LIE… no forms show up…. i call again…3rd time…. i am switched all over the place…. then told they will mail the forms out two day mail
a week later….no forms i call a 4th time…. it seems no one at chase knows what the hell they are doing….can not even mail out a form…
i call again…. 5th time… ask for my credit …..told they need the forms first…. i explain then MAIL THEM TO ME… I MEAN FOR REAL MAIL THEM…
i am told they will email the forms to my email which i confirm….. ANOTHER LIE… no email form show up
it is now 3 full weeks….i call again….. guess what….they need forms to be signed…..
OK SO TELL ME what can i possibly do now…. just keep calling hours on phone to wait for forms that do not ever get mailed…

MEANWHILE… the seller has changed their name….changed their phone number…changed their email and is now advertising the item under all new info….. WHY.. because banks allow them to rip people off…. they have my money and chase can not get it back now….3 weeks later….
and so no one contacts me at chase…anymore

so much for 27 years of loyalty with huge balances…auto loans mortgages….. annuities and life insurance…. all my mistake….

today is june 18th and nothing in my email or mailbox so i got screwed….so much for protection from using a chase credit card…. NO PROTECTION AT ALL

Chase customer service is literally closed due to Covid. Absolutely none of their 800 numbers work. They don't even offer an online chat! I have a brand new card through Amazon, I went online to sign up for paperless billing and the phone number that comes up to send the verification code to is NOT my phone number. I tried to send an email but you need to login to your account and because the information is connecting me with someone else's information, it won't let me login. Great customer service, Chase. I have tried every avenue to reach you and my first bill is coming due. I will pay over the phone, because who buys checks anymore, and then I'm out.

I鈥檓 so disappointed with this company. My Husband and I chose this company because of the travel opportunities it offered. We used this card for big purchases to send our parents on a cruise this month through the travel rewards it offers. Instead, COVID-19 happened and the flights were cancelled and our elderly parents will never fly again. Instead of refunding OUR CREDIT, MONEY, BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS I have been informed we can only use those flights in the original names- never mind it WAS OUR MONEY that paid the bill. Chase, you and the airlines should be ashamed. ALL Americans are feeling the pain of this pandemic and instead of keeping customers, you screw us over. My husband and I never miss a payment. We are responsible savers, a doctor and businessman. I assure you, won鈥檛 be customers of yours for long. I鈥檓 highly disappointed in your policy and the airlines policy. Honestly, you are no better than common thieves benefiting on the misfortune of others. It鈥檚 NOT THE CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY TO BAIL YOU OUT.

DON'T USE CHASE THEY ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT. HERE IS A MESSAGE I HAVE BEEN SENDING THAT IS SELF EXPLANATORY.
I have an emergency I need medication and need to reach someone immediately. Preferably a supervisor. There must be somone in charge even though it is Memorial Day weekend and there is limited contact because of the virus. But there must be someone in charge for emergencies. My account was closed becuase I had a negative balance of $293. Which is fine. I don't want to bank with a bank that won't give a customer time to cover a negative balance. I am homeless and living in a shelter but am a lawyer. I called to get the money from the deposited check released but they told me the check was no good. This is ridiculous. It is a reputable charity and credit union and the check is perfectly good. Of course the negaive balance can be deducted. validity of the check that was deposited can be easily checked with the head of the charity or the credit union it came from. I need emergency access to the funds. I have called many different Chase numbers. At first it's 24 hour customer service line answered. I called 3 times and explained the situation and to please get me in touch with whoever was in charge of emergencies. I was switched to a department that was closed and got a recording and a disconnect. I called every other number I could find for Chase and they all had recordings saying they were closed. I am in a homeless shelter in San Diego and need medication urgently so need access to the funds. I am a lawyer and called the banking regulators yesterday but there was nothing they could do on an emergency basis. I plan to pursue a complaint and file a lawsuit against Chase that will cost them a lot more than $5000. PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE CONTACT ME RIGHT AWAY.

Worst online presence. Clumsy, layout is terrible. No ability to do normal tasks like request increase. The number on back sends you to India outsourcing CS, can't speak English, connection terrible. This card tied to Amazon. I've just paid it off and removed it from use everywhere and staying with Capital One for purchases.

Although Chase deferred payments due to the COVID pandemic, they do not defer interest on those cards. Normally I pay off the total amount in full every month to avoid interest fees. My shop was mandated to close, due to the COVID-19 mandate, and I was unable to do so. Way to kick us when we're down. My stimulus check pretty much went to cover the interest. I will be closing my credit cards, and all accounts with Chase, and open with another bank that makes its customers priority, instead of profiting during a crisis.
