All they will do is take all of your financial information (including SS number) and then sell your info to car dealers. The car dealers will want massive down payments and offer 30-40 % interest loansharking. Avoid like the plague.

FYI to all (and yes, carsdirect too.) An arbitrary and/or generic award is a surefire way to solicit every screen troll in the world. And hey, pics too.

CarsDirect.com is nothing more than a dealer referral service. You can build and get MSRP price on a car, no different than going to the car brands website, then it will refer you to one of their "trusted" (read who pays them for the local referral) dealers.

I was looking for info on a 2020 Ford Super Duty truck, CarsDirect was advertised as being able to give you the dealer invoice cost, which it could not per their live chat person. The CarsDirect vehicle build tool also was flawed, it would not correctly apply packages and add on items like you could on the Ford website.

After 2 weeks of delay, Cars Direct delivered my car on Saturday 2 November during the World Cup Rugby Finals. I noticed multiple faults on the car, none of which were declared by Cars Direct when making the deal. The main concern is that the car was delivered to me with the engine light on. I tried calling them with no success and the driver who delivered the vehicle said I should take it up with them on the Monday. On the same day of delivery, I made a list of all the faults and sent a what'sapp to one of the agents. On Monday, I couldn't get through to them. They were always busy in meetings or unavailable and promised to call but they did not. After days of fighting I told them within my 7 days period to cancel the contract and get a different car. They declined this request and said they needed to be given a chance to fix the car. I insisted that the car goes to a Nissan dealership to be fixed. Nissan gave them a quote and they said it was too expensive and that the car will be sent to one of their approved mechanics.聽 Nissan had to repair the brakes of the car as the car's brake was finished.聽 The wiper of the car was also broken.聽 They wonderd how did this car get its road worthy certificate?? I work and stay in Port Elizabeth and all of a sudden Cars Direct had no approved mechanics in PE and the car had to go to East London they said Nissans qoute was to expensive. At first, they did not want to give me the name or location of the mechanic and I only got the name when my car was returned and I had seen it on the paperwork. They got me a rental in the meantime and had my car in for 2 weeks for repairs. On the first day that I received my car back, the engine light went on yet again and the car stalled. The car came back with damage on the body (many scratches and it also looks like they bumped the car) and the majority of what they promised would be fixed was not fixed.聽 There were also lose engin parts laying in the back of my boot??????

Today is 6 January 2020 and I am sick of phoning them, sick of not being able to get hold of them and sick of trying to cancel this deal. I am paying a hell of a lot of money for this car. This stops NOW!!

Everyday I get a message from them and there's no way for me to opt out. Thankfully I didn't give them a lot of information. If this is how they do business I would look for another company

Useless. Worthless. Did nothing but send me emails asking if X U Y or Z dealer contacted me. Never got a call or any help but they generated a lead for their affiliate partner who called 2-3 times a day about credit repair

They approved me a car without a license and only had the car two weeks and the transmission went out and the two year ware wouldn鈥檛 pay for it

The sales representative hassled me for 5 months sending emails stating that I pre qualified for an auto loan with the return of a few items(proof of income, address, etc). The sales man wasn't coy when he kept insisting that I add my disabled sister's to my loan application to get a better rate. After informing him I worked for a school district and that I have a credit union he continued to send out for loans request even after I ask him to stop and that someone else take over my process, just to receive emails inquiring how d i like my new car. Whether it's the company as a whole or just a few idiots they hired I give them a low barrel rating for the debauchery and countless time wasted.

Well, the price was fair I guess, however, you must jump through loops. for, example the way they want their down payment, then they only want to finance through capital finance,,,they must sell you an expense extended warranty,also they gave me a hard time about insurance, finally they only half ass washed my car after paying $250 for prepare……….they are similar to other dealer they like to keep you all day…….

This company are one of the biggest spammers in the UK.They send you texts which you cannot opt out of. They use foreign dialling numbers so you cannot complain about their spamming.I did not ask to receive texts from these spammers so I am very annoyed at their behaviour and their bad business model.

You were right about the dealership! I walked in and drove out with a beautiful new car! I was skeptical (went to a different dealership, didn鈥檛 go well at all) but ended up at Pitre Kia and BAM! I was approved with horrible credit, and a repossession! Thank you CarsDirect made my Thanksgiving weekend ?鉂わ笍

I have not looked for an automobile loan in over 5 years. As of the 17th of September I have NUMEROUS inquires on my credit report.

I am disgusted beyond belief and will be looking into legal representation. Horrendous and fraudulent practices indeed!

Have bought cars from Cars Direct before with good results. Recently wanted to buy a Ford F-150 and got a price from them and then their dealer (Fiesta Ford of Indio Ca.)
called and I went in to make the deal. When I got there they had added a premium to the vehicle and did not care a bit about cars direct. Not a good dealer for them to be associated with. They should know their dealers better.

this company is a joke – I inquired regarding a refinance – I have received numerous calls regarding my pre-approval to purchase a new car???

this is a total violation of FTC lending rules / and it is highly illegal

I tried calling them to ask them to remove me so I can stop the phone calls and the unauthorized inquiries on my credit report

i ALSO ASKED FOR CONTACT TO THEIR LEGAL DEPARTMENT-
i was sent numerous emails with the same information regarding financing a new car???

I spent a lot of time on carsdirect.com selecting cars and options I wanted. I got really great target prices. However, I received so many calls and emails from dealers asking what I wanted and giving me prices way above what carsdirect.com listed. I called carsdirect.com to complain and ask if they sent these companies the information I gave them. I was told that it was just a referral service and a price to try to negotiate for the cars. They did not give the dealers all the information I had given them. It was just a waste of my time! I could have just called the dealer and requested the internet sales and gotten more information and not wasted all that time.

My wife and I were having trouble deciding which car was the right one for us. CarsDirect was so helpful–their comparison tool made it really easy to decipher the differences between trims and option packages. We were torn between the Acura TLX and a Honda Accord–similar cars. After putting everything into the tool, it was easy to see that the TLX offered little extra value for the additional $5K. This plus the Accord had special financing-that sealed our choice.

It's great to be able to walk into a used car dealer with a printout and say I'm here to see this exact car… Way less dealing with sales staff, way better experience.
